Surprisingly in this chapter Montalbano starts in bed with Livia, his mythological girlfriend and later on he is seduced by a beautiful woman connected to the crime and is in bed with her ... This is a change in his behaviour as in all the series before he used to be faithful to his girlfriend although she was never around ha ha ..

Defending Jacob
(2020)
100% suspense every moment
23 December 2020
I enjoyed watching Defending Jacob. It was very suspenseful and also had some psychological insights about relations between parents and adolescent children. Michelle Dockery does a great job as the mother and all the cast is great too. I watched this series after watching The undoing and It's interesting to see the similarity between the two series. They seem like variations on the same subject.
The new Barnaby is an improvement
5 October 2020
I was not sure how I would like the new episodes with the new Barbaby and I was pleasantly surprised. His character is more subtile and humorous and his wife is definitely much more interesting and likeable than the passive phlegmatic Joyce also the relationship between them is warm and loving. Good work hope it goes on this way 😊
Cheesy soap drama indeed

That was really too much. Supposed to be a series about astronauts and journey to Mars and all you see is video chatting with family and cheesy drama. Disappointing big time. I will try one more chapter and if it goes on like this we quit. .
Dark and misty

The last chapter of the 3rd season is a little more dramatic and interesting but still this season is very confusing and it is hard to follow the characters and understand who is who and what is the significance of all this. The music and photography are great though 😊👌
Worst episode
16 July 2020
I am a fan of Beck but I hated this last episode so I am not sorry that the series ended for the time being. The plot is annoying Martin Beck is hardly present. Steinar character is good but Alex does not do. A pity because as I said I loved the series.
Fun episode in Agatha Christie style 👍

I liked this episode. It was like a Poirot mystery. The Christmas spirit added humour. The boy and the girlfriend were interesting characters and also the old aunt. Nice joke at the end with the In law that was supposed to have swallowed the coin 😊
I don' believe I watched this awful show

Warning: Spoilers
After two seasons that were nice and interesting, the 3rd is really hard to watch and NOT worth the effort. The troubled detective emotionally involved with the handsome killer theme goes too far... I can't believe that he stays to comfort the dying killer while his 10 years old grandson is alone in the forest after being kidnapped and almost killed by this killer. The only character that I liked was the painter, Sonia who was interesting and believable.
Loved the way the Maid in splendour legend was related..

Good episode. The intense emotions of the characters, obsessions, greed and not too many victims this time :-) I would have chosen a different murderer though. Stephen's wife would be perfect. Nice that they spared Michael though and gave him an easy go out (heart attack) instead of going to prison.
Beautiful side story

I liked the side story of the two old ladies living in Mr. Darwin house persecuted and bullied by him and then they just let him die 😊 And Barnaby turns a blind eye (there is even a hint that the ladies were an old gay couple)
Suspenseful episode
4 March 2020
I enjoyed this episode. It was suspenseful and interesting. However at the beginning it seemed that they were a little slow in getting the clues of the murder. But it improved in the second half. The Gunvard character is developing a lot into a more complex and interesting role. I also think the lady chief is much better than the boss they had in the first episodes.
Olive Kitteridge
(2014)
A beautiful character drama

I read the book and was doubtful if the series will be able to attain the high quality of the wonderful Elisabeth Strout novel. But I was favorably impressed It is a wonderful series with remarkable actors and it definitely did not fall to the book. Frances McDonnal does an unforgettable character
Disappointing
3 December 2019
As much as I appreciate Olivia Colman as a good actress she did convince me for a single moment that she is the queen, Queen Elisabeth. Sorry but she does not fit the role. The first 2 seasons with Claire Foy were much better in that sense at least.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire
(2019)
Picture perfect bug boring script
27 November 2019
Beautiful scenery, artistic photography but otherwise not interesting at all, sorry it was boring most of the rime. Some very cliche images like the baby in the scene the abortion or the mirror placed on a certain spot ... in another scene. Embarrassing
Lucca's behavior is annoying
11 May 2019
Lucca behavior toward Colin is unreasonable. I believe the script tries to use the formula of keeping the sexual tension between the characters but it doesn't work, it's unreliable and annoying. This line is worn out and boring
It's really too stupid ...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so disappointing that I am not sure I want to continue watching this show. Really the plot is hurting my intelligence. An experienced agent Is following a suspect, a skilled murderer into a nightclub all by himself !!! This is so unprofessional, even childish. Therefore it was very predicable that he will be killed. Really stupid and boring.
