Being Human (2011)
If fans of the original would keep an open mind...
the show really is great. I'm a fan of both series (although I hated season 2 on the BBC version, or at least the ending episodes). I can see why people are a little skeptical because Being Human was a fresh idea among all the Twilight that seems to be everywhere.
I have to say the only reason why I wanted to watch the remake was because Sam Huntington was in it, he plays Josh the troubled OCD werewolf. His character seems to be the comic relief of the story, and his transformation is well done with the CGI.
Sally (weird name), although we don't get to see a lot of her seems to be entertaining, and although its early on I will enjoy seeing her story unfold. She also gets cool looking special effects that are well done, and I love her hair.
Aiden is the typical brooding vampire (seriously they don't all look like Edward, they all look like Angel, Google him and you'll see).
Bishop (played by Jacob in lost or to all you Supernatural fans, Lucy's meet suit) is intriguing and sinister, probably my second favorite character behind Josh.
Rebeca (the beautiful redhead that got killed in the first episode) SPOILER: plays a newly turned vampire, and will most likely struggle with it.
Emily (Josh's lovely sister) is so far a gay character that might or might not accept Josh's condition.
Danny (I think that's his name) is the boys tenant and Sally's ex-fiancé, with a dark past. DUN! DUN! DUUUUUN!
The chemistry between the main trio is not yet developed but there is potential. If you are open minded you will enjoy it, plus it has 13 episodes in the first season unlike the BBC's version which had 7 or 8, which means more plot development or different plot all together.
I like it, and I will keep on watching. Mostly for Sam Huntington and the fact that is yet another supernatural themed TV show.
