Crop And Save
In Bruges (2008)
When i first heard of this i thought it was just another typical black comedy with some action so never really cared to see it but when it came on TV a few year's later i decided to watch it and was much surprised and shocked.
All the character's were brilliant with the actors all perfectly picked for there roles such as Colin Farrell's huffy Ray,Brendon Gleeson's sightseeing Ken and Ralph Fienne's hot headed Harry.
The comedy is great and has many laugh at loud moments and plenty of action so you don't get bored of talking.
Should be watched by everyone once though if you don't like constant swearing then beware.
Southland Tales (2006)
Hmm,,what can i say about this very strange but interesting movie?.
It was different to what i thought it would be but in a good way. Some of the characters were very well done by actors such as Sean William Scott and Justin Timberlake though some of the other's are abit stupid.
The story let my ratings go down as it made no sense all the way through and the side plots were useless.
But for some reason when the credits went up i couldn't help but think it was good and felt i needed to watch it again.
I would recommend it to people who can think on the spot but at the same time don't think too much and enjoy just watching a good old movie.
Not for everyone.
Desert Saints (2002)
Disappointing but not bad
I thought this movie would be better than I thought and the description of the movie is also different from the film itself. The film started off great then it got bit sillier and sillier as it went on till the ending was the worst and could of been better.
But i have to admit it had its spark's and moment's all of which Kiefer Sutherland made of course with the rest of the cast keeping up.
One that would make a good sit in and watch something because your bored. If your a Kiefer Sutherland fan you will like this movie more and also is one that you shouldn't think much about. Good rental movie but wouldn't spend over a fiver for it
A very different world
I would of gave this movie a 10 out of 10 if there wasn't for a few problems. But i must say this is a great film and must see for all open minded people who believe in magic. Heath ledger once again made it but the other 3 Tony's have problems
Even though i think it was very clever how they finished this film without heath ledger i think they could of got better actors for the role of the other 3 Tony's.
Johhny depp was fine and put a smile on my face but Jude law and Colin Farrell ruined it for me as they just seemed too different and i felt the magic disappear.
The plot was a little twisted and i wasn't sure what was happening from time to time but you had to much to look at to care what the story actually was.
a must see by everyone at least once wherever you like it or not.
Why did they have to ruin a good movie.
Well i saw this movie before i read the book and wished it was the other way round. I thought they could of added a few details from the book in there in exchange for taking some things out. I felt it was too romantic for a right vampire movie and if they kept to the book more it would have a bigger range of ages enjoying it. Some of the actors were very good and saved it while a few you could say shouldn't be there at all.
The thing that has put me off this movie of course is the fan base of girls.
When i first saw it i was free to say i loved it/i liked etc but when the big twihard fan base came i had to back down and say it was alright in fear i would be looked at as another nutter wanting to be bitten.
all in all if you ignore the twi supporters and just think of the movie then it really is a good film but again this film has got too big of a admiration.
The Brothers Grimm (2005)
A very good fairy tale
When i first heard about this film i wasn't sure but when i saw who was in it i decided to watch it and enjoy it I did. The story was funny and not that hard to follow though I thought the ending was a little silly and could of made it a little better. Heath ledger and Matt Damon as the brothers were great and made you feel like they were actually brothers in real life. I think many people will enjoy this film as many classic fairy tales pop up quickly, you cant help smiling when they do.
Basically if you weren't a big fan of fairy tales you might struggle to believe any of the story and kids might not understand it as well which might also come to them having nightmares of them being kidnapped in forests.
all in all a very good/fun/for the sake of it film that most free minded people should see at least once.
The Dark Knight (2008)
The best film ever made-must see once...
When i first heard about The dark knight i thought 'Not another batman movie' but then my cousin made me go and since then I have went to see it twice in the cinema and seen it about 6 times on DVD. It is the best movie ever--Christian bale gives a good performance(even with the too of deep voice) But what takes it is Heath Ledger as the joker which is the best villain ever.
The story was good(again the joker made it)and most of the characters were good(actress who played Rachel dawns wasn't great).
This movie is put down by many people because its batman but its nothing like the normal type superhero movies and anyone of loves action has to see this once in a life time---come lets put it back into the cinema again.
