I include Gerry in the top-5 of year 2002 (with the others being the Pianist,Far from Heaven, Minority Report and Bowling from Columbine).I liked this movie very very much.I think it was something of a fresh air for me and for my life.And to be honest its impact was even purgatory after comparing the mesmerizing or I may say relaxing(even if Gerry is about survival and not relaxation at all!!!) rhythms of the film with the neurotic rhythms of a city like Athens (and of course all the big ,crowded ,noisy and stressing cities)...Besides, the fact that there were maximum 10 people in the theatre and that ,as a week-day, the streets were completely empty after the show, were catalytic to create a strange but very beautiful atmosphere..I've never felt such a thing after a film before..!
