Nash Bridges (1996–2001)
A Great Show - Nothing like Miami Vice
24 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this show a great deal.

I'm a huge fan of Cheech and absolutely loved Miami Vice. Obviously Nash Brides wasn't as popular as Miami Vice but there were many similarities between the two shows.

For starters, both Nash and Crockett drove convertibles. Both Nash and Crockett had complicated 'love lives' they also kind of look the same. (just a little joke) But I must say that Nash Bridges is in no way another version of Miami Vice.

Miami Vice was so dark, and had more of an impact on youth culture. It was mostly about materialism and who had the faster boat. Its not to say that it wasn't cool, but it was, at times a very intense drama.

Nash Bridges on the other hand, was far more light hearted. In many ways, its just another comedy. Nothing horrific ever happens, its just fun and games. No one ever seriously gets hurt, or blown away in the last few minutes of an episode (like in Miami Vice) This show, in my opinion is something you can watch with the kids. It is funny and a delight to watch.

The Simpsons (1989– )
The formula has run out.
18 November 2005
I grew up with the Simpsons. I personally think that it is one of the best shows on television. Not only is it funny, but it also makes you think, bringing forward moral values combined with smart humor. Having said that, I think that the formula just isn't working the way it used to.

I will always like the Simpsons, but I've noticed in recent years, that the episodes just seem to keep getting dumber and dumber. They aren't smart anymore and everything appears to be way too commercial. Its becoming obvious that no real thought is being put into any of the plots, the network is just interested in making money. Thats what it comes down to.

The show is just not funny anymore, in fact, its annoying. Incredibly annoying. It seems as though no real thought is put into the storyline and things are awkwardly random and do not make any sense, despite the fact that it is a cartoon and is meant to be silly. But let me say this - compare the 2004 season to the 1994 season; you will see a major difference in storyline. Plotwise; smarter, funnier.

But today; as I said, too commercial. I think it should wind down before it gets too stupid.

Michael Jackson: Bad (1987 Music Video)
Whos bad? Whos Bad? Whoo!!
14 August 2003
I'm bad, I'm bad you know it. This was the chorus to Michael Jacksons hit "Bad" back in 1987.

When I look back at it, I make the conclusion, its cool. Okay, it may appear to be alittle humorus and alittle riduculous, but its still cool.

Michael plays a high school student, Darryl,(a 30 year old high school student)coming back home to visit the old neighbourhood for the holidays.

His old mates are rebelious and "bad" but Daryll has changed since hes been away. Here, we see michaels excellent acting talents. And I'm being serious, he was realy good. "Lay off me man! Get off me man, stop it!!! I'm tired of you messin wit me man, stop it!!! stop it!!!"

Beleivable, but cheesy. In order to prove himself to his old friends, he makes an attempt at robbing a poor man in a deserted train station, or at least thats how he wants to make it seem to his mates, "give me a quarter" when he realizes that the man is poor, old and helpless, "Get out of here man run!!! Run!!!"

Daryll, has gotten himself into a rough spot now. Wesley in particular is annoyed with Darryl. Befriending him, saying how he has forgotten who he is, "You aint down wit us no more, you aint bad!!"

All of a sudden its brighter, Darryl is surrounded by dancers and he is wearing tights. His hair is curly and to top it off he has allot of buckles. He dosent look bad, he looks ridicioulous.

Thats when the music sarts and the relization that youre watching a michael Jackson music video sinks in. In all honesty I enjoy watching this. The dancing is wonderfully coreographed for that type of song and Michael actually looks good.

But when the song is over, its back to black and white. Darryl has shown that he is still "Bad" but not in that way.

He makes peace with wesley and they accept him for who he is. "Thats the way it goes down huh."

Now hypothetically speaking, that wouldnt happen in real life. Dancers wouldnt show up out of nowhere and a song wouldnt solve the problem.

In my opinion, they didnt really show up in the first place, they were Darryl's imagination, his way of escaping from reality. Thats how he sees himself and he expressed that to his old friends in his way.

I hope this makes sence to whoever reads it cause I just confussed myself! Anyway, to sum it all up. Its a good music video. NO where near as good as "Thriller" or "Beat it" but its still good.

King of pop rules!!

Good, but not as good as T2
31 July 2003
Firstly let me start by saying "its about time they made a sequel to 1991's T2, which broke box office records for that year."

In my heart, I always knew that nothing would compare to T2. T2 gives me goosebumps when I watch it, it makes me cry. Considering its extremley far fetched, it still has meaning and looks cool.

Now T3, I'm not complaining. It was a good movie, enjoyable and the special effects were spectacular. HOwever, it didnt really feel as special as T2. It just seemed like a "movie" nothing extrodinary. In my view this kind of thing had been done before. Back in 1991, it was new fresh and exciting. Although its still exciting, its not new and fresh anymore and I was somewhat dissapointed.

ON the other hand, it was good to see Arnie back again. And yes I really enjoyed the fact that the TX was a woman. A very attractive woman, i heard yelps and howls in the cinema when we saw her behind in the begining of the film.

Nick Stahl and Claire Daines also do a good job and are believable in the characters that they play. But in my view they could have put them in better surroundings, instead of a small vet shop.

The action started off tooo quick and didnt really give the chance for the audience to get to know some of the characters or how arnie exactly found thier location in the first place, he just sort of showed up.

Furthermore, there isnt any emotion like there was in T2. Its just like the terminator was there and they didnt really develop any kind of relationship. All in all, i didnt really know what to expect when I went to see T3. I did know however, that it wouldnt have been as good as T2.

I do recomend that you go and see it, you wont be dissapointed. But chances are you might enjoy the second sequel better than the third.

Little Nicky (2000)
Ridiculous and pointless
3 July 2003
I just saw this film last week, I kicked myself for spending the money to hire it out from the local video library. It was a major waste of money.

Firstly let me start by saying the only funny thing in this movie was the opening sequence with Jon Lovitz. It had me in stitches and I honestly thought this was a small taste of what the rest of the movie would be like.

I was wrong, very wrong. Talk about corny!!! Talk about pointless!!! I think this is Mr. Sandler's worst work and I really like Adam Sandler, he's a comical genius, but this film isn't even worth peeping at. The story made no sense and was just stupid by all means.

Why on earth would Harvey Keitel or Patricia Arquette agree to be a part of this project. I just don't understand. They give really bad performances in this film, which is sad. On Harvey's part especially, he's a great actor and has passion in his work. This film really degrades him.

If you think about watching this movie, I strongly advise against it. I admit, it has some funny moments; like the opening sequence with Jon Lovitz and...ummm..well, I cant think of anything else right now, but it'll come to me.

Most of the humor in this movie is just stupid. Take it from me, if you want to see a good Adam Sandler comedy, hire out Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. Stay away from Little Nicky.
