A TV movie at best
I don't want to disrespect the amount of time and work that went into this movie, but there is really nothing there. It touches every point so superficially that you have a 165 minutes of cliché about boyhood, accompanied by bad (adult) acting.
There is no conflict, no story. Dialogues were corny, especially for anyone born in the 90's, who're in the same age group with these kids. Everything in this movie has been said/done in other films till it's worn out. It's not a documentary, not a fiction, hard to understand the point of it all.
The only interesting thing about this movie was seeing the actors age/grow up.
Somewhere between sad and comical.
I really expected this to be a look at Hitler's life and legacy from a different point of view, a departure from the highly sensationalized approach towards this infamous fascist, but it didn't take me long to realize I was wrong. Instead, this was a carelessly made nazi propaganda film that'd make even Riefenstahl sigh...
Unbelievably amateur power point-like slides suggesting moral superiority against, gays, communists, liberals and last but not least the jews. So it's very authentically fascist in that sense. Ironically those commentaries are pretty much the only thing that was original in this needlessly long 'video'.
Overall, don't waste your time, unless you want to hear a dude calling every piece of academic evidence a 'fraud' by Allies or Jews. I must admit though, this has reassured me that they are, never, ever coming back.. This video is a great example of why they are kicked out of society and how irrelevant they are, even in a Europe where FN and UKIP are the third parties.
