I never saw the original Tintin cartoons and before this film new
nothing about it.
I watched this film this evening, two years after its release .. and
i'm left thinking, why did I not watch this film before now?!
This was such an enjoyable film, it was much, much better than i
thought it was going to be, there are so many great things about this
movie:
THE VISUALS: Easily one of the most visually stunning films I have ever
seen, i wish i had watched this at the cinema - especially in 3d. The
animation is perfect. it's bright, colourful and scarily lifelike. The
characters, scenery and landscapes all look incredible and so creative.
Even the opening credits look fantastic! I can't stress how good the
visuals are in this film.
THE DIRECTION: Spielberg has done an incredible job here, nothing could
have been improved in this aspect. The way the movie flows and the way
the scenes intertwine and change is beautiful. There are scenes where
it switches from past to present and back again in such a way that you
just get lost in it.. you will understand what i mean when you see the
movie. There are scenes of fights and chases which are so creative and
so imaginative, the way he uses angles and the way everything links on
is a real joy to watch. Its hard to explain, watch the film and you
will know exactly what I mean.
However, the film is not just a visual feast like many films are. It
has a good solid story with likable, interesting characters - I found
the story line kept my attention throughout. A very original
adventure/quest film, searching for hidden treasure and defeating the
bad guys along the way!
I cannot recommend this film enough, i was so surprised by just how
good it was. As i said earlier I am sorry I didn't go and see this in
the cinema as it really would have been a fantastic experience.
Watch it!
I went to see this film this morning and found it very enjoyable. I
can't really remember the 1st so I can't really compare.
Despicable Me 2 is a fast paced, funny, feel good film that keeps you
entertained from the 1st minute to the last. The pace of the film moves
along nicely and keeps the audience attention very well. It has many
laugh out loud moments, a decent mix of children humour and adult
humour.
The main character Gru (voiced by Steve Carell)is likable and funny.
The minions however are the main stars, they had me laughing on
multiple occasions during the film. The language created for the
minions is very well done as they speak in a fictional language but you
can always gather what they are saying.
I found the visuals very impressive, it was very colourful and very
imaginative. The action scenes we also very well done.
Would definitely recommend seeing this, no matter what your age. I am
22 and thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's not just for kids!

There is so much wrong with this film its hard to decide where to
begin.
The collector himself fails to look scary, he actually looks like he's
wearing a gimp mask. His eyes seem to shine and glow in the dark also,
whats that about?
The traps that he sets up are like something out of Home Alone 2, gone
mental. They are so silly its daft. How does he have that much time to
set up all these traps? The house is massive and is covered from corner
to corner with fish wire, bear traps, acid, nails in the floorboards,
knives attached to lights.
The most pathetic thing is though, he already has the family captured
in the basement.. So why is he still setting up these traps? In case a
second loon comes and tries to rob the place? Oh well good job he did
because thats exactly what happened. How silly!!!
If you like your films with mind numbing amounts of gore and torture,
no script, no character development and worse of all no motive or even
an explantation as to why the 'collector' is doing this, then go and
see this film.
I watched this movie far too much as a teenager, before i had a DVD
player i only had a handful of VHS tapes. This was one of them.
The story is simple, the main character Josh sleeps with a girl at a
party and records it, he then accidentally posts the video to his
girlfriend who lives in another state. Then the road trip begins. Josh
and his 3 friends set off in a race against time to get to his
girlfriend before the tape does!
This film is a real American teen type of film that follows the pattern
of many in that genre. It has plenty of laugh out loud moments and a
very likable group of characters, (bar Tom Green)
Definitely worth a watch if you have a couple of hours to kill and
fancy an easy watching film with many laughs.
Let me start by saying that I know absolutely nothing about the history
of Vikings. Therefore i cannot comment on how factually correct this
show is.
I saw that this show was on Love Film instant and thought i would give
it a go. I usually like these type of shows so I went into it with high
hopes.
I found this show highly entertaining. I was gripped from the first
episode. The show is a very good pace and doesn't get boring. The plot
develops quickly and builds and changes perfectly.
The main character Ragnar Lothbrok is fantastic. Actually the whole
cast is fantastic, there are so many likable characters. The acting in
this show is very convincing.
The way this show is shot, the camera work and the photography is
brilliant. The costumes and sets are so well done, it looks like a
feature film.
This show is exciting and each episode ends with you wanting more. It
is ruthless when it wants to be and also emotional when it wants to be.
The violence is quite graphic and fairly brutal at times.
Thankfully Season 2 has been announced and will be aired early 2014 i
believe. Go and watch this show, you will not be disappointed!
We originally went to the cinema to watch Star Trek or Iron man 3.
However as I sat in the pub with my friend before hand we decided we
fancied another pint, however we didn't have time if we were to see
Star Trek or Iron Man. I then made the horrific decision to check my
iPhone and saw that 21 and over was on an hour later than those two
films. Great, time for another beer.
I was aware that this film looked quite poor from the trailer and
copious amounts of bad reviews, however, as i walked into the cinema,
merry after a few beers i thought it may be a nice easy watching movie
with a few cheap laughs. I was wrong.
This film is poor. Very poor.
It is a very familiar concept, a guy has the biggest exam of his life
and his friends decide to try and persuade him to go out the night
before and get completely wrecked. Of course he refuses at first and
then of course he gives in.
The acting is poor, the script is awful and the characters are awful.
None of them are funny or even slightly likable. The over the top
scenes which are trying so hard to be funny, fail on so many levels. A
pathetic, cringe worthy love story is also thrown into the middle of
this movie which is just down right ridiculous.
I don't know what else to say really, apart from, don't go and see this
movie.
Juice is a film about 4 friends growing up in Harlem, it tells the
story of how far you will go to get respect and how possessive the need
to be respected can be.
I enjoyed this movie, a good solid hood film. The acting is superb,
especially from Tupac and Epps. Really strong leading performances. The
transformation of Bishop from the start to the end is played out
perfectly by Tupac.
The movie has a great urban old school feel with a belting hip hop
sound track. It's funny, tense, emotional and gritty. Watch this if you
are into this type of genre, even if your not, its definitely worth a
watch.
