Ten films that should have been nominated for best picture.
a list of 10 titles
Oscar nominations come out this Tuesday and it is time to decide which movies I'm putting my chips on. Over the last six months my predictions have dramatically changed (Only two of my original seven have a strong chance of being nominated). I've always felt it was more exciting to see who will be nominated rather than who will win (as most of the time we know who will win the major awards), so I'm excited about the upcoming nominations. With that in mind here are my official oscar predictions on who will be nominated for Best Picture.
The First Seven are the films I believe will be nominated, while the rest are my predictions if they is more than seven nominated.
a list of 22 titles
This is the second to last Best Picture prediction before my final predictions on the night before oscar nominations. For the first time, a clearer picture is being painted on who are the contenders and which movies are out of the race (sorry Harry Potter). I believe five slots are pretty well secured, but the fun will be seeing which movies make it in and more intriguing how many.

We're coming down the final stretch. December will be a very decisive month as far as shaping up the race. As of right now, there hasn't been a clear cut favorite, atleast not yet, and is anyone's race to win; however, next month we will see some of the final Oscar contenders be released. By the end of December we will know who are the real contenders and the pretenders.

To me October has always been the official start of Oscar season, and some contenders have risen while others have fallen, ie The Ides of March. It's still early in the race with no clear cut winner, so exspect the list to dramaticallt change next month. With that said, here is my October prediction. Movies with (Best Picture Nomination) are the movies I beleive will be nominated, while the rest are still contendors and movies to watch out for.

It's still about another half of year before the academy will determine which films will be honored with the nomination of best picture. If that wasn't hard enough, the new rules that academy can nominate between 5 to 10 films. So with that each month I plan on updating my early predictions up until the best picture noms are released. Each list I will include the movies I feel will be nominated and include some movies outside looking in. The movies are also ranked. 1 being the winner.

This is my complete Oscar predictions of the 24 awards to be handed out February 27th. Everything from Best Picture to Best Editing. I'm no expert and in no way seen every film nominated for a Oscar in every category so some of these, like Best Short Live Action Film, is a complete shot in the dark; however, I have seen a good share of the films nominated including all of the films nominated for best picture so I do have some knowledge.
