I thought the original Last House on the Left was terrible and I Spit On Your Grave, the original will be similar so i refuse to watch it. The Human Centipede i did not know what to think of it, it was certainly nowhere near as disturbing as people make out. I hated the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, thought it was a joke. I'm not sure about seeing the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the remake was very solid indeed, surprisingly. Scream 3 was inbetween good and very good, but a bit lousy with the deaths and writing.
I'm not sure about the Paranormal Activity franchise, although PA2 has some more than decent scares. Blade Trinity i actually found to be underrated, because the previous two were so good, not enough to be on any best horror list though and it took a more actiony approach. I found The Thing(with Kurt Russell) to be extremely overrated, dull and boring - the prequel was far better. I didn't like Evil Dead 3, and Carrie was absolutely terrible. You have your films that are bad not terrible - The Devil Inside, Intruders and The Uninvited. Then you have your terrible films you question even exist, like Final Destination 4, Survival of the Dead and Unborn.
I still intend to see The Hills Have Eyes, The Crazies, The Exorcist originals, Child's Play, Oldboy(horror?), Cold Prey 3, Saint, House at the End of the Street, Detention, Killer Joe, ATM, Pitch Black, Underworld Awakening, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Rite, Frailty, The Wolfman, The Changeling, In the Mouth of Madness, Jaws, Suspiria, Horseman, Outpost, Angel, Buffy, Charmed, Supernatural, American Horror Story and of course the Alien films. I may make additions to the list if i think of more titles and the titles that are included can be a mix of genres. I've changed the list now to include 'good' titles as well.
I Give It a Year (2013)
Review of I Give It A Year
This was just a breath of fresh air. I hate romantic comedies so upon hearing that this was ANTI romantic comedy and more emphasis placed on the comedy aspect of the film i wanted to see it. It's a funny, witty, exquisitely entertaining, and has something for men and women to enjoy.
The situations the characters find themselves in seem entirely natural and not forced which only makes them funnier and everyone done a really good job comically.
What compelled me to write this short review of the film is that despite this being the films release date(8th Feburary) there are no ratings or reviews. It really deserves to be seen and it was great fun. And without giving anything away it's not what you think.
