Comments on the movies are my own opinions and do not necessarily reflect the general critical view of these movies. I have not seen all of them, and so ones that I haven't seen will not have a comment attached. A lot of my comments are terse.
When I was a little kid, I loved Spongebob. Annoying at times, yes, but he was interesting to watch and entertaining for the little people. Then I heard that a Spongebob Squarepants movie was coming out. I was incredibly pumped. Never before in my life was I so desperate to see a movie. I couldn't believe I would be seeing my favorite show on the big screen.
The movie eventually came out, and I went to see it with my mother, my father, and my younger brother and sister. The beginning I felt was a little weird because there was no mention of Goofy Goober (or whatever it is) in the show, so why bother putting it in the movie? I just ignored that, and continued on, expecting a fantastic movie that I would be jazzed about, even after leaving the theaters. The movie worsened and worsened little by little. Subtle swearing PO my dad, and I could tell we'd both be having the same feelings on the movie. Naturally, we did.
After almost dying (for no apparent reason), the movie just goes on to torture the audience. I was almost in tears. The movie just, simply, should not have been made. A cameo (again for no reason at all) from David Hasselhoff just transcends pointless, and through him, the horrible, heinous staff are able to continue this Satan-inspired journey, into the depths of the black pit of my heart that it created. This movie should be burned. Do not even take your children to see it, or force others to watch it on dares. This is just a flaming pile of dung and killed off Nickelodeon forever. People who liked this movie as a child, I have noticed, have become either mentally or psychologically ill. I'm surprised it hasn't been banned yet.
Easily one of the worse movies ever made. Why has it gotten the amount of praise that it has... just why...
Ben & Arthur (2002)
I don't know what it is about this movie- director Sam Mraovich somehow messed up just about every little aspect in this movie. I would normally say that this is a movie that should not exist, but this movie may be the most important of all time. This movie should exist for the sole purpose of being without a doubt 'The Worst Movie Ever Made'. I've seen bad movies in my lifetime, but this somehow breaks what I considered bad into something much more hard to imagine.
Everything in this movie is hilarious, but the single funniest thing is that Mraovich himself considers this to be a great movie.
Blade Runner (1982)
An OK movie
Although I'm not a huge fan of Ridley Scott I did enjoy Alien and Gladiator. I decided to rent this movie with my good friend and we watched it with a close eye. Honestly, not much to say. Harrison Ford's performance is a typical one and is not much better than in Indiana Jones. The story has a lot of potential but when watching it you feel like it is reciting information rather than expressing a story. I can see why people enjoyed it, but it is no where near the 8.3/10 that it has currently. A sci-fi experience that I can live with out having. For those who enjoy it, I hope that they can convince me otherwise. I heard that it is better after re-watching, but the first impression is not good.
