Kevin & Perry Go Large (2000)
No no no no no no no!
This is without a shadow of a doubt the worst movie of all time, and I've seen at least 30 of the bottom 100 here on IMDb. Manos has NOTHING on this movie. It's sadly unfunny. A craptacular knock-off off Bill & Ted (a master-piece in comedy, in comparison), which honestly is mostly funny because it was made quite some time ago and was sort of creative. This movie however is just extremely sad. THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THIS MOVIE WHATSOEVER! I really tried finding it funny how bad it was, but alas, there was nothing funny to be found. Just give two ACTUAL 15-year-olds an expensive video camera, a crew, and dress them up in "funny costumes", and let them run around and act like douche-bags, and you've got this movie in a nut-shell, except more honest seeing as how they would actually be 15 years of age, instead of being a 30-something sorry excuse of an actor/comedian/whateverthe&"¤¤theyweretryingtobe.
I'm sorry, this isn't debatable, this movie has absolutely nothing going for it. It is the pinnacle of awful. Avoid at all costs, or buy it and burn it.
I'm sorry for writing this as a comment, I originally meant to post it in the forums but felt I needed to warn as many as possible about this film.
Veronica Mars (2004)
Teen Peaks and it's oh so good.
Veronica Mars is by far the best show on TV atm.
Mixing classic mystery, Twin Peaks, teen drama like the O.C. with excellent production seems to ensure a wide enough crowd to keep it on air (which sadly is needed as TV is a business), but without lacking at all in quality.
It has a continuing story-line which is a thrill to follow, and they haven't (as of yet) left you short of anything, as is the case with X-Files, Lost, the O.C, and (also) numerous craptacular (not referring to said ones) soaps.
In closing, all that really needs to be said is in the 'Summary'.
The Powerpuff Girls Movie (2002)
Great deal of fun, me being the right audience.
I've been watching PPG for a couple of seasons now, and I still think it's hilarious. Tough crimefighting mixed with cute cartoons, giving a very funny comical effect. As for the whole audiencepart of the review, I don't really know what to say. I´consider it suitable for all ages, also appealing to all, though I wouldn't disagree if someone said it wasn't suitable for our youngest youngsters (maybe <7). The series deals with episodes like "Meet The Beat-Alls" with 10 minutes of hilarious jokes refering to the Beatles, not being understood at all by most of our kids, but it still has those colorful thingys allover the screen and cute cartoons and funny voices, that should be interpreted as entertaining by a lot of kids. To call this a way to sell dolls is to be way off. This production gleams of underlying ambition and conscientiousness. The music addresses to 18-30 yo's mostly, being Frank Black from Pixies (maybe 18-40?), the Apples in Stereo, Komeda (go Sweden) and Cornelius as well as many other great not-to-known-though bands.
Arrange this review in your minds, and you got my opinion of it, arranging isn't my strong side.
Go watch it! (10/10, me loving Simpsons, Futurama, Ren & Stimpy and Southpark)
