A surprisingly good romantic comedy
11 September 2002
I wasn't expecting much from this movie when I rented the video. I decided to give it a chance solely on the strength of the performances given by Traylor in "2 Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place" and Lauren graham in "Gilmore Girls". I was however pleasantly surprised to find that it is actually a very funny and entertaining movie. Some of the performances by the supporting cast, including the two ladies that got me to rent it in the first place, we're a tad weak, but the 2nd surprise the movie had in store for me was Edward Kerr's performance which was VERY good, and definitely the best bit of acting I've ever seen him put forth. If you're looking for an entertaining movie that provides a few good laughs, this one is a must see.

Great fight scenes and stunts but not much else to it.

This movie has some great fight scenes and incredible stunts but the plot is only average and the casting director should never have been hired. most of the acting is so awful it will have you cringing, especially the performances of Coolio and Norika. And while Aaron Kwok and Lee Hom give reasonably good performances, they've given the actor who can barely speak english (Kwok) the english lines and the American born actor (Lee Hom) with a rather bad mandarin accent got most of the mandarin lines

Great fight scenes but rather bad plot and dialogue.

As usual Dacascos displays some excellent moves and great style in the fight scenes. The choreography ain't half bad either. However, thats the only compliment I can come up with for this movie. The dialogue will have you cringing and the plot is extremely weak and full of holes.
