Boy genius who's lost his way tries to capture some glory be participating in the World Rock, Papaer, Scissors Championships.
14 April 2008
Edited and shot well. Moves really fast. The film follows Rock, Paper, Scissors competitor Andre Bennet (AKA Frankie 13) as he makes his way through the competitive RPS circuit. Short of a "Rocky" tale without the payoff in the end. More a film on Andre's life than a story covering the world of RPS. Andre's a unique subject to do a doc on. I guess the filmmakers chose to focus on him because he's an RPS purist. A lot of funny scenes but the thru line is what keeps the story moving. At times kind of sad, but it's very honest. Very objective for a documentary. Good ending, but don't expect a grand exit like "King of Kong".
