8 Mile (2002)
I was totally excited about 8 Mile coming out. But then I saw it, and I was like, um, ok, that was a waste of money. I think it had excellent acting, but was a bad script, all over. Eminem's acting debut was pretty good. I think it showed that he could act, especially when he was acting in scenes with Lily.
7th Heaven (1996)
I love the show, but...
Yes, it was a great show. However, all of the kids are growing up, and more adult issues are coming into play. I used to love watching this with my mom, but now, I am really embarrased. It can be really funny, but I agree, they do get repetative. It is also better because it relates to older kids now, rather than eight year olds. I just have one question, WHY DOES KEVIN LOVE LUCY? She is such an annoying ditz who is mad at him all the time, and she is always sarcastic and mean, he is obviously cute, and seems really nice, I don't see why he stays with her. ALSO, has the Camden house turned into Hotel Camden?! They had their kids, then Robbie, then Kevin, the Ben for a short time, now they only have Robbie & Kevin. It is an addictive show, every week I ask myself "Why do I keep watching this?" But yet, I continue to watch it. It's weird.
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
Has anyone read the book?!
If you read the book, this movie will be a HUGE disappointment. While yes, it would have been difficult to capture all of the deceit (which would make for a very long movie) the film makers leave out key plot points. I mean what happened to Valentine and Morris' grandson? What about the Villefort secret at the house? Did Caderousse just drop out of the story? What happened to Abba Busoni and Sinbad the Sailor? As is true with most cases, the book is SO much better than the movie. It is a fun book to read, so by cheating and watching the movie (ie, if you are doing a book report) then you are missing out on an excellent book, and you will most likely fail the book report.
Awesome...SO much better than the 1st one......
It seems as though Harry has gone to some acting classes!!!! This movie was much more daring than the first one. It was more scary and more captivating, and much more funny. All of the actors are growing up so fast though! It seems as though they will need a whole new cast for the third and fourth movies! Hagrid continues to be awesome.... I totally recommend this movie to anyone...
Couldn't They Have Gotten Better Actors?
I must say that I was very disappointed when I saw this movie. I mean, come on, you would think that they could get a better actor for the lead role as Harry Potter? They also cut out so many important things from the book, they missed the whole essence of why people like the book so much. I hope that they do better on the second one. I must say though, that the Quidditch scenes and the chess board scene were put together very well, so was the castle of Hogwarts.
