Just finished watching the first season of Tower Prep with my kids. It was incredibly entertaining. It was action packed, adventure oriented, with mysterious suspense. It was a fantasy and a sci-fi. It incorporated a love triangle, school rivalries, hazing, bullies, and fraternity initiations. It even brought forth some interesting bits of history and wove itself around tales such as Homer's Odyssey, the Red Baron, 50's Dances, the first series of computers, etc. The acting was superb. It was so fun to watch that we all couldn't wait for the next episode. Luckily I DVRed the series so we could watch 3 to 4 episodes back to back. We would have gone crazy trying to wait a whole week between shows. It is a great family friendly show that appeals to all ages. My children 6 and 8 couldn't get enough, my nephew in college loves it, my niece in high school enjoys it. My wife and I are in our 40s and thought it was great. I would recommend this show to anyone. Whether you like a bit of romance, drama, action, martial arts, mystery, suspense, cutting edge science, fantasy, history, etc. this show will have something for you.
This is turning up to be a fun show. Ever since the deceased Carnahan won the senate race, I thought a show on the funnier lighter side of politics would be great. This show proves the point. We are constantly bombarded by the dark side of politics, but this show pokes fun at the more absurd and humorous part of running a political campaign. Added to this is the relationship triagles with Dan, his x-girlfriend, and his new girlfriend who happens to be the daughter of one of the other candidates he is running against. If this show can keep digging up new ways to portray the idiocies of politics in a fun way the show should go far.
From the title of this show I expected something wholly different. However, this is one of the best comedy TV shows that has come out in a long time. Good sitcoms seem to be a dying breed in favor of cheap to make reality TV, which to me is uber boring. I can go outside and see enough of that from my neighbors or better/worse yet I could watch the news. I am glad to finally see another fun sitcom come on TV. This show may be a bit silly with it's ditsy blonde and nerdy characters, but that just adds to it's hilarity. It has been so long since I have actually laughed out loud while watching a television show. It was very refreshing. I hope to see a lot more of this show.
