Had To Get Involved
31 July 2013
After I saw the first episode and met Nathan, I just had to become involved. I'm hard to please when it comes to comedy, but, this series makes me laugh every time. Finally I was able to work as crew. It's amazing to watch as the production day flies by. The process of converting everyday items into controls and other space related widgets is nothing short of genius and the cast works so well together. The writing is brilliant and challenges you to find references to other shows or movies. Many times there is so much improvisation going on, that is flawlessly inserted, it's impossible to tell it wasn't original script. I dare you to try to watch just one episode. You won't be able to.

Fabulous
6 June 2013
I was a screener for the 2013 Phoenix AZ Film Festival and couldn't get enough of this film. We even tired to fit in another pre festival viewing, but, just couldn't find the time. I saw it twice at the festival. Don't think the Phoenix con is anything to sneeze at. We had over 55,000 in total attendance at the con. It won Best Feature. My favorite character is Percival P Picklefeather. Steve Terrones as Percival was fabulous. We now have two new party war cries. "FEATS OF STRENGTH" and "Pudding anyone". I'm going to look forward to purchasing this awesome movie. As much as I love this film I think it drags in a few places. I got anxious for the next encounter. For example his entrance into the cave, in my opinion, took way too long and didn't contribute to the humor or move the story along. Again, that's just my opinion.

Well done indie film
15 November 2010
Yes, I gave it a ten. I gave it a ten for heart. I gave it a ten because Ponderous Productions is one of the most thoughtful, courteous indie film production companies I've worked for. I gave it a ten because the story is good. I gave it a ten because I've watched so many SyFy channel films on Saturday that I can honestly say Bass Reeves outshines a lot of them. The story is factual and Brett did a lot of research before setting ink to paper.

Indie films these days can have enormous budgets and name actors and still be flops. Bass Reeves is not a flop. Keep in mind the extremely low budget, overlook the costumes and focus on the story and you'll enjoy Bass Reeves.
