Serving Sara (2002)
Not bad ... not great, but not bad.
Serving Sara doesn't make any claims to masterful filmmaking. And rightly so. If you like Matthew Perry, you'll enjoy this film. If you're one of the many Perry-haters out there, Serving Sara will just add fuel to your fire. There are some enjoyable moments, some cliches, and some eye candy in the form of Elizabeth Hurley. Cedric the Entertainer is a pleasant surprise as Perry's process server boss. There's even several scenes set in or near my hometown of Amarillo, TX. You can't go wrong when you manage to get Stanley Marsh's pop-art "Cadillac Ranch" on screen. Serving Sara at its best is a low budget, lightweight Whole Nine Yards (minus the stellar cast of Yards of course). Serving Sara is funny, nonetheless. Overall, Serving Sara is not bad ... not great, but not bad.
