Good action, martial arts, weapons and enjoyment; but a story hard to
believe. (1) A thief that exposes everyday to death and prison, and in
the night he is a good father. (2) The alliance of a thief and a Police
inspector with sudden mutual confidence. But well, thinks remarkable of
this film are Faith Thief's team (Anthony Anderson and Gabrielle
Union), that are so coordinated in the movie, Tom Arnold, always funny;
and great, really great fights by Jet Li and Mark Dacascos. A movie
with a lesson, you can be a really bad guy outside, but a beloved
father also in your home (like The Goodfather?), well, the conclusion
is as always, left to you!
ABOUT THE MOVIE: This is a story really hard to believe, about Faith (DMX), an expert high-tech thief, who with his team of thieves: Tommy (Anthony Anderson), Odion (Michael Jace) and Daria (Gabrielle Union) stole some black diamonds that were more valuable than he even tough; his daughter (Paige Hurd) is kidnapped by the owners of this diamonds that result to be a dark Asian mafia leaded by Ling (Mark Dacascos) with some deadly members as Sona (Kelly Hu); Faith then allies with Su, a Taiwan Inspector, expert with martial arts (Jet Li) who had the purpose of capturing this mafia also and recover the special stones. The two start a quest for the stones, the mafia boss and his daughter. They meet Archie (Tom Arnold) who with some contacts and knowledge of streets, help them in their mission.
I have read the critics of this film, and thanks god i saw the movie,
because for me it was really funny, i laughed loud from the beginning
to the last moment, and the people around me in the theater did it
also!; you really have to lighten up to watch this movie, and see the
situations with sense of humor, i don't like offensive movies but
believe me! this one is not offensive at all!; this is a comedy not a
critic!, you have to understand that before enter to the theater and
you'll really have a god time!.
About the Movie: Norbit is a really, really noble guy who got married with Rasputia,(the mistake!), this really funny story is about how Norbit try to amend the mistake and recover Kate, his true love. In this you'll find a lot of funny situations and funny people.
Murphy acting is great!, he does three roles with totally different characters!.
A movie to lighten up before watching, to enjoy, laugh and to have fun! 7/10!
The interaction of Lee and Carter, makes this movie a really fun one,
entertaining, and with great action scenes with of course, a lot of
martial arts with Jackie Chan's style (a particular typo of humor).
This movie gives a rating of 6/10, almost the best for this type of
movie, really entertaining, but not a piece of art of course. Really
good action in two continents and good one and a half hour
ABOUT THE MOVIE: This movie is about two of the most rude police agents in the world; one from China (Chief Inspector Lee, represented by Jackie Chan), and the other from America (Detective James Carter, represented by Chris Tucker); in this funny movie they have to find and capture the terrorists behind the kidnapping of Soo Young (Julia Hsu), a little girl, daughter of the Chinese Consul in America (Consul Han, Tzi Ma); this girl was kidnapped by one of the Chinese mafias that looked for revenge against the consul, after he spoiled some drug operations that they where doing back in China; this mafia was leaded by Sang (Ken Leung) an evil and martial arts expert; the confidence that the consul has on Chief Inspector Lee, creates a quest of two continents in the search of the little girl, and where they start to find obscure relations between the Chinese and some people in high positions on some official departments of USA.
This movie tells the story of Eisenheim the illusionist and Sophie, the
woman that he has always loved, this takes place in the 19th century,
and evolves around how a great magician makes a huge effort and create
great tricks with the purpose of keeping her beloved at his side! The
way that you get transported to the 19th century, the places, the
clothes, everything is fascinating!, the story is interesting and
captivating!, the acting role of Edward Norton is great!, Paul Giamatti
and Jessica Biel do it well too! Rufus Sewell, as the "bad guy" is good
The facts that takes down 4 stars from the rating are (for me) due to some facts so non realistic in the story, that turns a story that could have been true in something totally fictitious; that's my personal opinion, but for others, this can be understood by the fiction nature of the movie (based on a short story).
Well, a story about love and magic!, the deep magic behind the love and the fact that "love is something magical"?, well I leave the conclusion to you!
This great fiction movie tells the story of Larry Daley, a good man
that have some problems finding a job, and he finally found one at the
Museum of History, where, oh surprise!, all the exhibits come to life
at night by some unknown reason!
This story is really fun! (I laughed almost all the movie), and the people next to me where laughing too, children and adults the same way!; besides the entertaining, the story is really beautiful, and after some history lessons (useful of course), you have some lessons for life, as a father, as a son, and as a honest worker, really beautiful. The cinematography is great; the way that the Museum is recreated is wonderful, each room, exhibition, characters and animals are amazing!. The acting role of Robin Williams as president Teddy Roosevelt, as always is touching, and Ben Stiller in a good acting, makes you laugh really loud!.
A great fantasy story, that makes you learn more than history!
This is a movie of 7 stars based on a 10 stars book.
This great novel has been constructed all with real historic characters, real places and real pieces of art, but the events are fictitious. What makes you feel a movie in which your religion basis are questioned?, well, for me as catholic, it made me open my eyes, and finally love more the faith and ethical values of it. The historical data of the life of Jesuschrist can have been manipulated by men in past years, but the feeling of having a more human Christ as a basis of our religion is beautiful.
The movie is the story of Robert Langdon, an expert in symbols (Tom Hanks) and Sophie Neveu, a cryptologist (Audrey Tatou) in an investigation about the murder of the Louvre's museum curator; these events start a quest trough codes, symbols, clues that are meant to resolve one of the most uncovered and deep secrets of the catholicism. The polemic facts shown here to the religion and specially to the Opus Dei have been matter of large discussions, research and opinions after the book was published.
This movie is far from the quality of the book, and some parts of the book are changed, it could have been a better movie, maybe if a different director had took the challenge. But taking these polemic subjects to the screen is memorable, for a time when you have to open your mind, and hold to the really important things of life.
Tom Hanks has a very bad acting, Audrey Tatou does bad too and Jean Reno is pretty normal, Ron Howard directing is terrible!
I recommend that if you haven't read the book, then don't watch this movie, because it can spoil it. But after that, watch the movie, so you can place visually in the art pieces, places, churches and all the things that you constructed in your mind while reading.
7 star for this movie, great locations, filming and composition of the characters, but lack of heart and passion to go deepest in the subject, and for not achieving the level of an incredible book.
This great movie is about the beginning of James Bond as an 00 agent,
he as a new 007 agent is assigned to a very dangerous mission; to find
the brain of the financial of terrorist activities in the world. The
new Bond (Daniel Craig) follow smartly the clues until he find Le
Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) the main responsible of big terrorism groups
financial activities; he challenges Le Chiffre on a game held in a
Casino, where Le Chiffre has to win or he would broke and be at mercy
of the worst and more evil rulers of the worst mafias!
In this great movie, we can see a James Bond in the very moment that he is promoted as a "00" agent, and obtain of course his license to kill. The Financial of terrorist activities are in real danger when this agent is assigned to the mission, Bond is not only willing to give you the best action and stylish scenes, but also is ready to receive a lot of damage and to show a courage of warrior when facing these organizations. You can enjoy watching and almost feeling some beautiful places of the world: Bahamas, Venice, and stylish and glamorous action scenes, the real and deep Bond essence, and of course, beautiful women and the best hotels, clubs, cars, technology and casinos in where Bond appears.
You can see a Bond more close to reality, more human in the action scenes and his blood is part of almost every part of the movie, showing a more mortal side of Ian Fleming's character.
8 stars for this great action movie and for the beginning of Bond as 007 agent.
I'm writing this from outside the matrix, i've been unplugged from it
and some sentinels are right now breathing in my neck, but please,
watch this movie, is a message that we have sent from outside for you
to see the reality. what is real?, that movie is real?, you really
think that these incredible visual effects can be done by something in
your present reality?, and that these incredible fight scenes are real
too?, no, this movie has been made as a message for you! and the
quality of all is far from the capabilities of "your reality". Hey open
your eyes, you only have to see it for yourself!, what is the matrix?,
you want to stay there your whole life?, is your decision, i only can
show you the door, you have to pass trough it!.
Hoping to see you soon......,..hey i almost forgot, knock knock! follow the white rabbit.
The story of a female Nostradamus version of the young one in final
destination 1 is brought back here, the story is similar, only that the
facts are quite different and the characters are new. Kimberly (aka
female Nostradamus), has a lot of support with the people involved in
the accident, this is different from the first movie; and when the
things are "easier" for someone, the movie also lose some tension. The
characters are all together supporting themselves trying to protect
between them from their final destiny, with good visual effects and a
lot of interesting and original deaths. (Sorry if this sound sadist!).
Why i didn't like the movie?, well is just because in comparison with
the first movie has very deficiencies (in my personal opinion): (1)
This movie doesn't have the tension of the first, you see deaths but
don't feel the level of drama of the first. (2) The story goes to a
level at which you start to don't believe the events, are unreal and
obvious at some moments. (3) You expect to see an even better movie
when you already know the thematic, and you get disappointed when you
watch an inferior movie. Well is my personal opinion but as always you
have to see it for yourselves and make your own critic.
ABOUT THE MOVIE: This story is held one year after the plane crash of the first movie, where Kimberly Corman (A. J. Cook) predicts a deadly accident on a high speed road, where a lot of people will die, she then stops and avoid death, her friends die in the accident after she stepped out of the car and it was crashed by another car, but with her, some other people escaped from dead; as the first movie, death follow each one of them to fulfill its purpose, they held together in order to stay alive; the group followed by dead are: police officer Thomas Burke (Michael Landes), Eugene Dix (Terrence T.C. Carson), a black boy skeptic of dead, Rory Peters (Jonathan Cherry), a rock style guy, Kat Jennings (Keegan Connor Tracy), a beautiful girl, Nora Carpenter (Lynda Boyd) a mother and her son Tim Carpenter (James Kirk), Evan Lewis (David Paetkau), Isabella Hudson (Justina Machado) and Shaina (Sarah Carter). They are aware that death will follow them, so Kimberly looks for Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) one survival of the plane accident to help them to avoid death, they together start to find clues and answers to escape from destiny, but this show being a rather difficult task.
How can anyone predict the future?, well Nostradamus wrote about facts
that would happen hundreds of years in the future, but this is an
opposite story, Alex (the young Nostradamus), predicted something that
was about to happen in the next couple of hours or maybe less, what an
talent!, this movie really is entertaining!, and i had a good time
watching this movie. The following events when the death is chasing
after the survivals of the flight is the second good topic, you can
avoid death?, you can actually change your destiny? everyone's destiny
is already defined?, and if you manage to change your destiny, you
violate a rule of our existence and that have to be fixed by the
destiny itself?, well some philosophy can also be made about this
movie. What genre is this movie? fantasy or horror? i think that is
more fantasy, but with "horror type" deaths. Is a nice story and good
ABOUT THE FILM: Dewon Sawa plays Alex Chance Brwoning, a boy of high school that predicts that the plane in which they would fly to Paris in a school trip will burst into flames, he step out of the flight with some classmates, as they avoided death, the death start to follow everyone that dropped the flight, they are Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) an smart girl somewhat introverted, Carter Horton (Kerr Smith) one of the popular guy of school, the teacher Ms. Valerie Lewton (Kristen Cloke), Billy Hitchcock (Sean William Scott), Tod Wagner (Chad Donella) and Terry (Amanda Detmer), they realize that escaping from death is more difficult that they tough, but they try for all means to stay alive!.
