I'm surprised at how many views this list gets. Feel free to leave comments.
I first started buying DVDs in 2004, so this isn't a massive collection for that amount of time, although it's grown quite a bit recently. I still haven't gotten around to buying a Blu-Ray player. I live in England, so these are nearly all Region 2 UK market versions.
1984 - Present. Includes some TV movies and direct-to-video/DVD movies. I like keeping this list and I might as well let you look at too, if you can be bothered.
I'm British and I tended to watch CITV more than CBBC. On afternoons after school and weekend mornings I'd tend to watch whatever was on, even if it seemed a bit lame or babyish. Like I always thought Power Rangers was dumb and repetitive but I'd still watch it anyway. And when I was younger I'd always prefer cartoons to live action.
The rule is there must be at least 3 actors who play recurring characters. I've also included some actors who played prominent guest star parts.
I haven't yet seen Shutter Island, Kundun, New York, New York, Boxcar Berthar, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and New York Stories (if that counts)
As you can probably tell, I have a bit of a thing for Winona. The only film of hers I haven't seen yet is Experimenter.
The top 10 may be different to my other list "The Best of Winona Ryder" but that list is meant to be the films that give the best an all-round view of Winona's career (so for example Star Trek was left out because her part is pretty small). This list judges her films by themselves.
I've seen Turks & Caicos but I've chosen to leave that out because I consider it to be a TV drama program rather than a movie (or TV movie) Looking for Richard doesn't count because it's a documentary (ditto other documentaries she's appeared in) and Being John Malkovich just uses a bit of archive footage of her (at an awards show).
(that I've seen)
RIP Robin Williams, another sad and wasteful death.
I haven't seen War Horse, Amistad, Always, 1941, The Sugarland Express, Savage, or Something Evil. I have seen The Twilight Zone: The Movie, but I've omitted it from this list because he only directed one segment in it.
She's one of the most beautiful and appealing actresses of the last 25 years, the Natalie Portman of the 90s. But which of her films should you make sure you watch? Having seen every one of her films, here's what I recommend.
In my *very* humble opinion (I don't think I'm a true Lynch fan) Just his feature length theatrical films, not all his shorts and stuff. Some of these I've only seen once years ago so if I rewatch I may change my mind about them. I bet I'm going to get some stick for this list, but feel free to say whatever you think.
