Invader ZIM (2001)
Great Show But Episodes Get Old Fast
"Invader Zim" is so far one of the greatest shows of this century. With great characters in a even greater stories, this show is highly recommended to everyone. Sadly, there is one problem with the show, it gets old fast.
Most episodes get old after seeing them in the first time because the story is not fully develop, manly it gives out obvious hints to viewers on the actions characters make that lead to their downfall. For example in the "NanoZim" short, Dib takes a photograph of Zim's alien form and plans to send it to Mysterious Mysteries to prove Zim is an alien, unfortunately, Dib waits until the next day to send it, which gives Zim enough time to enter Dib's body to erase Dib's memory on where he left the photograph then proceeds to destroy Dib's brain. This could have been made to two different shorts, one where Zim chases Dib to get the photograph before Dibs gives it to Mysterious Mysteries and Zim entering Dib's body to destroy his brain to get rid of Dib once and for all.
The second best cartoon created by Nickelodeon, behind "Spongebob Squarepants." With many episodes getting old fast, people can see why it received low ratings, which led to the show's cancellation.
The Blair Witch Project + Godzilla = ?
A lot of chaos, but where's the monster? "Cloverfield" fails at what many Godzilla movies are able to succeed, having the monster have a point to the story. The movie was more about searching and saving the main character's love interest than escaping from the chaos caused by the monster.
The camera movement was not terrible, but it is highly recommended to sit as far away from the screen (Arrive early because those are the first seats to go.) because sitting to close to the screen may make many people dizzy.
The story would of been more interesting if it was focused on trying to survive from the monster and escape New York City.
I Am Legend (2007)
From Great to Decent
After hearing many of my friends and co-workers that "I Am Legend" was a great movie, I finally decided to go see it myself. Sadly, I found it a decent movie rental than a movie going experience.
The movie opens up with a T.V. interview where a person had discovered the cure for cancer by reversing the effects of a virus. Then quickly changes to three years later in New York City where it is now a ghost town (Stating that the cure backfired and killed most of the people, if not all, in the world.) Then it is revealed that only one person survived, Will Smith's character, and his German Shepard who struggled to survive, especially in the night where the infected people with enhanced strength and speed kill any living being in sight, while trying to find the cure for the virus.
It was great to see Will Smith alone with the dog for two-thirds of film where we see how he survives and stays sane by talking to his dog and mannequins, many have stated that he is clearly crazy doing that(Talking to the mannequins) but they're his imaginary friends, like you call kids crazy for having one. But then it became bad when a woman and her child appear as survivors who came to answer Smith's call of survivors through the radio. It just didn't have the excitement of seeing Smith trying to survive the apocalypse.
In my opinion, the last third of the film should of been about Smith trying to survive the entire night outside the safety of his house built in fortress after he was trap by the Alpha Male infected(The scene where Smith and the Dog are confronted by the Alpha Male's dogs since it was near night.).
Also, it became a cheap sci-fi the second the infected where known as the Darkseekers or something similar I can't quite remember.
