Dora the Explorer: Berry Hunt (2000)
The "Dora The Explorer" First
This is the first episode in which Dora and Boots had to go backwards from their final destination back to where they started. This episode is fully based on the "Bear Hunt". First, Dora says and Boots repeats, "Going on a berry hunt. (Going on a berry hunt.) Gonna pick some juicy ones. (Going on a berry hunt.) We're not scared. (We're not scared.) What a beautiful day." Then when they get to the icy cold river, Dora says "can't go around it" and Boots says "can't go through it". They rowed across the river with a boat. When they arrived at the prickly forest, Dora says "can't go around it" and Boots says "can't go through it". They used the vines to swing over the prickles and thorns. Then they got to Blueberry Hill, their final destination. When they got the blueberries and stopped Swiper the Fox (he lives on Blueberry Hill), they came upon a bear and screamed "RUN!" They ran out of Blueberry Hill, swung over the prickly forest and swiftly rowed across the icy cold river and they got away from the bear.
The gang were selected to participate in the acrobat show. Everyone except for Rintoo practiced their acts. Kai-Lan told Rintoo that he needs to practice. But Rintoo refused to practice because he thinks he already knows how to do the flip. But when he failed to do so, he got upset and ran home. The reason Rintoo couldn't do a flip was because he didn't practice. He should have listened to Kai-Lan. When Tolee, Hoho, and Kai-Lan tried their acts the first time, they couldn't do it. But they tried again and succeeded. Rintoo discovered that he had to try again and finally he succeeded. He learned a very important lesson: don't be overconfident because practice makes progress and help you find success.
Ni Hao, Kai-Lan: Beach Day (2008)
Tolee made a terrible mistake by choosing to build a sandcastle near the shore. The wave knocked down his tower. It always happens. Waves don't like sandcastles when they're too close to the shore. After the wave knocked down Tolee's tower three times, Tolee screamed in anger and stomped on his friends' sandcastle. Tolee vowed to not build a sandcastle anymore. Kai-Lan tries to talk to Tolee, but he backs her off. Kai-Lan got help from Ye-Ye that the only way to stop being mad is to calm down. So Kai-Lan and her friends helped Tolee calm down. Tolee realized that he shouldn't have chosen to build a sandcastle close to shore.
Rintoo was eager to win the race. But he didn't pay attention to Ye-Ye's instructions. So he paddled fast instead of paddling to the beat of the peeking mice. That caused the boat to slow down. When he and Kai-Lan lost the race, Rintoo got mad and whacked the boat and stomped around. Kai-Lan tries to get Rintoo to talk, but he refused. Kai-Lan learned from Ye-Ye that the only way to stop being mad is to calm down. Kai-Lan was able to help Rintoo calm down. For the second race, Rintoo paddled fast again, but Kai-Lan implored him to calm down. Rintoo realized that paddling to the beat makes the boat go faster. Rintoo learned an important lesson: it's not whether you win or lose as long as you calm down and don't get eager.
When Rintoo ripped Tolee's painting by accident, he fixed it and apologized. But Tolee wouldn't forgive Rintoo and doesn't accept the apology. That hurts Rintoo's feelings. Tolee was being rude. He wasn't thinking about how Rintoo feels. He only cares about himself. Kai-Lan tried to convince Tolee how hurt Rintoo feels, but Tolee doesn't care. But then, they watched the big mouse accidentally broke the little mouse's violin bow. The big mouse apologized and the little mouse forgave him, because she didn't want to hurt his feelings. Now Tolee learned a lesson: think about how your friends feel even if they made a mistake.
