Aftermath (IV) (2017)

Confusing
2 April 2024
Apart from Arnold the story is sloppy.. It starts with a happy day and ends up in a tragedy. Acting is numb, scenaries are plain, the whole story is back and forth. I just can understand where is all going from the begining. We see a human mistake what can result to. Personally I didn't enjoy the film cause it stands to much for realism but doesn't deliver a plausible result. It didn't convince me for the story overall.

Yet poor direction, lack of dialogue and Arnold not in his fields.. A solid 3.

If someone wants to pass 2 hours on a non productive story, feel free to do it but I don't recommend it for Arnold's fans.

Vintage story

Firstly I'm a big fan of vampire movies. Even though the story setting is kinda original and has proper roots it loses the ability to deliver the atmosphere of Dracula.

Starting with the poor scenary, the green screen ship ocean plot, the poorest effects and of course the unexciting dialogs it only adds a twist in the gargoil part.

For me it's a mediocre 3 out of 10 movie to start watching just to get in the Dracula world. It has no spice, no nerve, neither tense in something.

Watch it if you can't sleep at night just for a beer. Soon I believe you will be bored and feel ready to watch a real draculamovie.

Secrets cant hide

Although I saw the movie just for Clark which is the beauty impersonated, the whole set up was solid. Another movie that she gave her print. I really liked the Kentucky way of speaking although she is British.

The plot was linear, the acting was punctual but it had more explicity to expose than unfolding the facts.

Maybe it should have maintained some more action in general but I believe that it must have been a profile based movie, just to expose the Clarks character and put less blame weight to the fed character.

If it wasn't Emilia I should have gone with the 6 star but she is a star by her own. So 7/10.

Pain Hustlers (2023)

You sell what's in your bag

Main story is a sad truth. Behind peoples agony to aliviate their pain even if it's uncurable some companies take advantage of them.

So in the mail plot we have the all time goddess Emily blunt rising from her ashes trying to deal with her problems and Mr America Chris Evans that gives her a chance to involve. The story somehow starts a bit absurd but rolls somehow interesting.

The role part is kinda sloppy but does the trick to be a whole sum in general. Andy Garcia plays a mystery role but too short for his leak, however he leaves some of his material in it.

Generally the movie is flat but with some points. The cast is steady but you feel they don't cooperate as a total. Nice movie, a bit picturescue, foggy result BUT I love blunt and I like this Chris Evans macho role. It's a 7/10 from me.

Free Ernest..

Well as it came by surprise, this movie is a nice mixture if comedy and drama. It alternates with fast rythm and it keeps the viewer on a pace.

It has a decent cast but in a way that Noone gets his Oscar except from the ghost.

I expected a comedy from Antony Magee but he has more drama in him than being funny.

The main character is Ernest and the whole picture is the journey of him through a modern family and his interference with them until they find a way to bond themselves again.

It's kinda confusing in some points but it never stops to let you wonder what's next. In some point I think it was predictable but later on the movie lighted up again.

Generally very schetcy and fresh. I liked it.

Very slow and out of line
3 June 2023
This is supposed to be a different perspective of a movie that is based on a game. Having seen all of the movies and the series too but also played the games from 1996 up to 2009 because later on where just boring I realized that there isn't much to offer to the viewer or the admirer of the franchise.

I really don't liked the cast because there where out side the main line.

They seemed to be a younger image of the real characters but too bored or stunned to give the touch of the game.

As a movie it has elements from the storyline but given in a moderate way. I also believe that this movie was made to bring younger and unaware people to the franchise.

For the old guys like me, it was a numb try to expose the great name of resident evil.

Not recommended after millas movies but a pop corn movie for the 14 year's old newcomers.

Past hunts you

First of all I think that is a decent movie. Kinda sad unfolding but in good terms. The main character that is having a break for vacations is kinda foggy with her selection of her style of living. It starts kinda frivolous but as we watching unfolding her story it's an internal journey in her soul.

Most people think that persons with past traumas are easily get over with them in a short time. I think it's not easy. So we see that together with side stories of othar people all of them are trying to overpass their past.

Now the verdict. It's kinda shallow like a story. The dialogues are kinda improvised. The characters have a past like all of us but in the end they seem a bit superficially harmed by their past. I got a bit confused about the motives of the director or scriptwriter. But overall it's a decent movie with no much to admire or reflect inside your thought.

It's a straight 4/10.

A life journey
29 January 2023
Well, as a total work it's really nice.

Judging from the cast you initially don't wait something powerful. Having huddish as a comedian with crystal who is also a comedian, you really understand the gap of acting. Tiffany is more sexist and grumby and crystal is a rock solid old fashioned comedian. Together they make a lovely friction inside and out.

Enough for the comedians, the story is about a famous writer who is finding himself in the early stage of dementia. Struggling with himself he confronts tifanny huddish and together they are autocompleting each other flaws. She helps him get through this by forcing him to go inside his past and his resentments about his love ones.

In a linear story we can see a delightful album of memories that this Oldman keeps inside of him in an internal fight with his small universe.

Anyway I really felt that this is a nice daily story of being redeemed from your bargains only by giving yourself a break. Very nice movie I recommend it.

Interesting modern tale
15 January 2023
A very pleasant movie with characters from the daily life mixed in a strange way. The story of a gifted boy that defy gravity. From the beginning of his life through the different stages of his growth, this movie gives us the sense of a superhero but the margen inside of that this superhero is getting abused by fame and of course his route of zenith to nadir. In this everyday fairytale comes into his present his past and his future.

Fortunately he stays faithful to his beliefs and doesn't let himself incorporate completely to this fame burst. Although of this sudden fame he stays the same inside and brings the story to a promising end.

La familia
11 January 2023
A well made movie that gives not only a perspective of crime but the way that bonds with the criminals.

The story is similar to mafia-crime syndicates but it has many modern facts and interesting twists. The main character is fighting his way up to the scale using even his family and close friends to succeed it. All the other characters are unfolding the story in a parallel way with the main character. Although in the beginning they weren't any gun fights, and it seemed to be a not gun killing movie after the middle guns showed up to cleen the path to the top.

This comes to verify that extreme violence brings power.

Overall a nice movie, not expected so nice but it really keeps the pace and reaches the end with a pleasant way for all.

Inner journey
10 January 2023
Well. It reminds me a bit of goonies. A group of school boys it's one with his background are starting one summer a day of adventure. While the scenario unfold we find that each one is an adult to be. Every character is unique but we realize that no one can't stand by his own. So all together are searching their grown self inside of the plot. I really liked the pictures and landscapes of the modern Spain and moreover the bond with the different scenes like every scene was to be unfolded in every landscape. Overall it's a very sentimental movie with modern slang in many points but it's kinda amusing the way that all of the characters are using it in every occasion.

If I can give a score it's clearly an 8 but I had a rough time to follow the dialogues and figuring out why did the kids had to take an unknown baby from a house and how did this had to blend in the story. Anyway it was good and kinda amusing.

A few young flicks

So. There is no way that this movie can stand even for a Monday night. I really enjoyed the tussy of the co star I don't remember her name. Except that the whole scenario is a parody of vampire style movies.

Weak effects, no trace at all in the dialogue and it keeps reminding me the whole gay, lesbian modern style of having normal relationships. I can't of course interfere in that because this period of human life is on the front of everything.

If you are bored and have an hour or so to spend without making cookies in the oven (which I recommend) watch it standing in front of the oven waiting for the cookies to cook.

A mild thriller with plot
3 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After watching it, first of all I was dissatisfied by the moral of the main character. She seemed that was a nice lady in the start having a husband and a child. Then it seemed that she has a long lasting sex story with a secta leader. Even though she is just a fictional character I didn't like the way she reaches her goal passing from a psychos bed. Anyway.. Overall it's a nice Saturday night mystery thriller with some twists but in the end I figured out that is the third movie of a series.. It's watchable but I can see that is a controversy in the main character that leaves the case unfold by its own minding only her sexual appetite..

Chewy

Well as a movie was something insipid. The whole story was about a girl that didn't got father's affection. It ends up being a well kept secret between familiars and it was slow unfolding. Taking to the ground the interpretations were chewy. Not mention the fall aparted mickey rourk. I think this actor needs a time off because his face was not giving props to the character. Was so plastic. As for the others taking for sure the director who played Bellas little uncle where all dark and boring in their part inside the movie. The only interesting I encountered was the dead father. Anyway. Overall a mediocre Monday night movie to watch but you need more snacks to bear all that country based farming grinch.

Indignation
18 December 2022
Linear scenario but the ending is confusing. I understood that the main character was behind all that but someone can think the opposite. Nice character unfolding but in some way there are no binding together clues to figure out the scenarios interpretation. As it started numb it ends kinda numb. It can be seen and valorated as a sum of events and spectacles around a mystery abduction but it can not be coherated in any point as a solid scenario or as a complete movie option. It kinda reminds me this old movies of Italy or French that have a story to tell but they also keep something for the mystery at th end.

A straight 5 but it can be appreciated like a 5.3.
