Murder in Mind: Contract (2003)
Adam Faith in his last TV performance...
Three young city 'slickers' are working a scheme to siphon off money from their company's accounts but are rumbled by one of their bosses. So they hire ageing hit-man Terry Cameron (Faith) to have him bumped off. Cameron requires payment only on completion of the job, but when the boss dies of a heart attack the dealers decide there is no need to pay the hit-man.
Cameron then starts exacting payment in a menacing manner!
It's a shame that the star of this episode (Adam Faith) didn't get the recognition as a performer that he deserved, but for fans of (former pop idol) Adam Faith this is the best episode of the third series of 'Murder In Mind.' Not many people can make a cheeky grin look menacing but 'Budgie' managed to play an understated but deadly villain in this story.
He died about three weeks after this episode aired after a very long battle with his heart.
