Crop And Save
Brit comedy with an American touch
I am a huge fan of Simon Pegg and have watched plenty of his movies until now and none of them have ceased to make me laugh. Neither did How to lose friends and Alienate People.
This movie is essentially about a man good as pissing people off. However, he has an innate set of ethics that prevents him from doing things that might just make him famous. But in the end he ends up doing them, the culture of life.
The movie is well toned with humor, romance, good acting and also a bit of a lap dance. Its one of those movies where you could just be happy when it ends.
Saw V (2008)
They are loosing it....
Alright to begin with, Saw 5 did a great job with the story and developing a background of the characters, however, what it lacked is the ending smart enough to make you say, "are you kidding me?" just like saw 4..
I solemnly feel that the saw franchise has gone too far, because we all know that coming up with different styles of gory killing methods is the new American style of pleasing people, and it does not implore you to be creative, just sadistic..
Also, with every movie the writers are giving away an opening for another saw movie. If this goes on like this, this franchise will never finish its self righteous path and fans will dissipate. We all know when things turn absurd.
I have given this movie a 7/10 for two reasons, the story (despite the ending) and new traps, nothing else.
.....Nolan brothers took it all away
This movie was suggested to me by one of my friends, and the way she raved about it.. i thought what the hell can there be so interesting...and then i found out!!
This movie from the very get go, takes you on a never ending, mind boggling trip, better than any drug this world can ever provide..
Scriptwriting - Brilliant, Direction - Its Christopher Nolan for god's sake, Screenplay - Perfection, Acting - Beats the best in the business
With the culmination of the greatness this movie has achieved, there can be nothing wrong, but I'd specially like to say that Jonathan Nolan (the scriptwriter and Chris' brother) has done a something very few can achieve...he has written a script in reverse..
that's all guys, figure the rest out yourself!!
The sole selling point... Johnny Depp
Alright.. the simple reason i wanted to check this movie out was for Johnny Depp, and he delivered and so did Helena Bonham Carter.. the visuals were stunning and so was the brutality that was depicted. Beside these, there were nothing that interested me in the movie. The story had nothing extraordinary in it and neither did the direction. it was just another run of the mill revenge flick.
A Person seeking revenge and singing his way through it...what a load of crap. Where is reality?? I would recommend this movie just for Johnny Depp and no one else..if you do not like him, don't even bother renting this movie.. its a definite waste of time and money
Saw IV (2007)
To begin with, allow me to clear one thing that might have got other viewer's judgments clouded.. Saw 4 has an entirely different plot keeping in mind the basic behind saw 1 and saw 2..this movie should not be viewed as a part of the saw franchise, rather one should understand what the director has done with this movie.
Darren Lynn Bousman has gone deep into developing the characters in this movie and has done his best to make us understand the plight behind Jigsaw's life, his sole motive behind being so brutal with his tests.
Considering that, the movie has done an excellent job in delivering gore (which i extremely adore) and also an intense storyline where the viewers will have wreck their brains to understand certain stuff..
The only part in the movie that made me go "oh damn!" was the ending, which didn't really sit on the intensity created by the whole movie. It lacked the basic punch on the face ending every other saw sequel provided..but nonetheless its a great movie and i would not think twice before recommending it to people who wants something brutal..
The Number 23 (2007)
The number will get you!!
Stunningly beautiful...this movie holds this uncanny ability to make you ponder of the nos real significance..crazy..we also see how versatile Jim Carey is..he is pulled this character with exuberant elegance..the story telling holds no visible flaws..the plot holds absolutely no false pretense..the number 23 has been researched by several chaos mathematician and was plotted as a number of significance...a movie of mayhem and murder without significant gore is a splendid style of approach..at the end..a very well made movie...and trust me guys the paranoia really grips..not just in the reel life but also in your real life..
