28 Days Later... (2002)
Best zombie/survival movie ever made
28 Days later is my second favourite film ever made. It's superb in the way that the whole of Britain has been wiped out by a virus which turns people into fast zombies.
Jim (Cillian Murphey) wakes up hospital from a coma to find London completely empty...except for the infected. He eventually finds 2 survivors, Selena (Naomi Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley). Selena and Mark explain to Jim about what's happened in the last 28 days. The 3 of them journey to Jim's house to discover his parents dead. In my favourite scene from the film, Mark gives a chilling story about what happened to his parents. That scene is well acted by Noah Huntley and it makes it even more shocking when Mark is hacked to death by Selena moments later. We grow attached to all the characters in the film and i thought that Mark would play an even more important part. Jim and Selena then come across a man called Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and his daughter Hannah (Megan Burns). The 4 of them hear a radio transmission from soldiers in Manchester and that makes them journey there in a cab. The 2nd part of the film is really Jim, Frank, Selena and Hannah trying to make there way to Manchester. But sadly Frank gets infected and dies when they finally meet up with the soldiers. The last part of the film i don't really like because it goes down a darker road than the rest of the film. The lead soldier, Major West (Christopher Eccleston) has promised the rest of his soldiers Women and Selena and Hannah are on the verge of being raped. Jim, Selena and Hannah not only have to fight of the infected but also the soldiers.
Overall 28 Days Later is an excellent film and it never gets boring. The sequel was OK but not as good as the original.
Saw V (2008)
In The End All The Pieces Will Fit Together CONTAINS SPOILERS
Now I am one of the biggest ever hardcore saw fans, i love nothing more than the saw movies ever since the first saw came out I've watched 1 a day. I was hyped up the most for Saw V. I fell in love with the trailer with Agent Strahm being in it, and i loved the idea of the head box water trap. Then i saw the tag-line "You Wont Believe How It Ends" now that got me more pumped up than ever. But when the movie ended in the cinema i said to my brother beside me "Thats how it ended?!" and i left the cinema trying to get my head around what happened. After a few days i started to love the movie, mainly because Agent Strahm, who is my favourite character, got his chance to shine. The BIG TWIST in the end was actually very predictable but that dosn't matter. I think the tag-line is right because it is played out pretty shocking and i don't think it matters that we could predict it. There were about 4 AMAZING TRAPS in this movie: The Pendelum Trap, Head box water trap, hand saw trap and the grand finale glass box trap. The Rest weren't that good. There are some confusing moments like why is the saw 2 house refurbished and have they found the bathroom below it. I was disappointed that they didn't show Officer Rigg die, but they did mention his death, same for Agent Perez. It's good we got to see what happened to Jeff's Daughter. Agent Strahm's water trap has to be my favourite scene in the movie, ever since i saw the trailer i loved it. I'm very disappointed that Strahm died and that is pretty much the ending, Hoffman has pinned strahm as the apprentice and now that he is dead Hoffman can go on without any further threats...or so he thinks. Saw V could of been better but i loved it, i like Saw IV a bit more than V. Are they ever gonna explain what happened to Dr GOrdon!?
Most Disturbing film ever
i am only 13 years old but I've been a fan of horror movies since i was about 5. I love disturbing movies that shock your mind but this stands out more than any. The most disturbing films I've seen are Last House on the Left, I Spit on Your Grave, Salo, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Cannibal Ferox, Cannibal Holocaust and Deliverance. I saw I spit on Your grave before this and i thought it was a shocking and unbearable movie. I heard Deliverance was close to ISOYG so i checked it out. I loved it. I like the story: 4 city boys plan a canoe trip down the cahulawassee river and 2 of them are captured by 2 deranged inbred Hillbillys, and are tortured, raped and violated in the woods. It's not as unbearable as I spit on Your Grave and Last House on the Left but that "Squeal Like a Pig" rape scene is really disturbing. The Evil Rednecks scare you to death, and as soon as he rapes Ned Beatty you want to turn the TV off. But it's a superb film and i continue to watch it over and over again.
Day of the Woman (1978)
The Most disturbing film ever made
i am 13 years old and i have the full uncut version for this sick movie. I Watched I Spit on your grave this is the first film were i have turned away from the TV. the 2nd rape got me the most. The last house on the left is nothing compared to this. I thought there was great acting coming from Eron Taber who played the lead rapist, Johnny. It's surprising he's only done one film. Although i find this movie really disturbing its also one of my faveourite movies. i felt sorry for matthew, he didn't deserve his death, he's retarted and was forced to rape her by the others. so he wasn't responsible for his actions. but at least he didn't die a virgin. The castration scene was good, but i also felt sorry for him. the other two i didn't like
