Izzat (honour) is a revenge movie. Jackie Shroff plays a cop in the movie. His teenage sister gets raped and killed by the thakurs (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) youngest son played by Gulshan Grover. He uses the law to obtain justice and in the process he is beaten up and tortured by the thakurs sons and a corrupt cop on the thakurs payroll. They try to kill him but kill his police constable father (Goga Kapoor) instead. He then gets posted to his village as a cop in a higher rank and he uses his knowledge of the law to trap and kill the baddies in clever ways. The climax and the climax song at the temple is brilliant. This movie lacks fight scenes but makes up for it in other ways. This is a good action movie and has a good amount of blood involved in the action scenes. There's shooting and heads being chopped off in this movie. This is a well deserved hit movie of 1991. The story and the songs are good. Watch this movie and judge for yourself.
