Battle of Britain (1969)
I just got a copy of Battle Of Britain and was excited to see it again. However, I was kinda disappointed as it did not have a storyline as capturing as "Tora, Tora, Tora" or "The Longest Day". It seemed just like a series of air attacks (of Nazis) and defenses (of the Brits). Though of course that is what happened (the attacks and defenses i mean), there could have been a buildup of a story and/or characters (real or fiction) to bring the story from start to finish.
Why even the documentaries of BBC "Battlefields" was a very good storytelling.
What I enjoyed though in BOB were some of the dogfight scenes near the end. It seemed real airplanes exploding in mid-air. It seemed real because there were other planes and the exploding plane was maneuvering. Does anyone know how this was done?
