Castle (2009–2016)

I really enjoyed

I loved this series for the most part.

I liked all the cast apart from castles family, purely because they were annoying. The cases they worked on were fun to follow.

Predictable relationship storyline between Beckett and Castle. - Don't admit their feelings - get with other people - realise they want each other etc......

Easy to watch for the first few series. The storylines do become a little unbelievable and frustrating. The "who killed Kates mum" dragged on for too long and I couldn't care by the time it was revealed and by that point it was obvious who it was.

I didn't like the stories with Castles dad, I found them to be too far fetched.

Castle going missing before the wedding was a really weird storyline and him coming back into it was really anti climactic. I was expecting an emotional reunion but it was just... I don't even know.

Deceit (2021)

Worth a watch

Really enjoyed this series. I enjoy anything based on a true story. Could have been made into a film rather than a series

I literally couldn't stop watching and I was tense the whole time The beginning confused me until I realise what was going on (under cover work) Love the actors in it apart from the smudged mascara under the eyes the entire series and the really bad hair extensions.

I loved how it showed how involved the undercover police officer got and how the investigation took over her life at one point.

Would definitely recommend watching this. Any British drama is worth watching tbh.

The Secret (2016)

Was okay

Easy to follow. Didn't know this was something that actually happened until I put it on. If it didn't state that it was based on true events I would think it was very unbelievable

I wish it was longer as there wasn't enough character development for me, everything happened so fast. It just didn't show that they really loved each other enough to murder their partners.

Towards the end, one minute he's in her house shouting at her, the next he's moved on and had a baby with someone else. It wasn't the direction I thought it was going to go.

It is worth the watch if you're into murder etc but I wouldn't watch again

Also James Nesbitts eyebrows are annoying.
