The Rig (2023– )

First episode is a disappoinment.

An oil rig worker falls and is seriously injured. The medic says he's not expected to live very long. He is left alone and when he gets up and starts walking around no one seems too concerned. Why wasn't someone sitting with him to make sure his condition doesn't worsen?.It seems to me that the writer didn't research the safety procedures on an oil rig. Surely someone like 'Hutton' wouldn't get a job on a rig?.Episode 2 isn't much better. Another worker dies. His tattoo's have been rejected by his body. Once again no one is freaked out. I'll watch the other episodes but only coz I have nothing better to do.

Binge watching this. I am now on ep 6 of season 2. Such a great series. All the characters are likeable. I was rooting for Nicki and Jason. 'Jen' is funny. Such good casting. Before watching this I had started watching Netflix's 'Resident Evil'. Watched the 1st ep. Got 15 mins into ep2 and couldn't watch anymore. No likeable characters. Just found out there is a Season 3 of 'Trying' which I am really looking forward to. I'd highly recommend this to anybody.

My headline says it all. A crap movie. When Mitchell gets out of the shower he appears to be bone dry. Acting is abysmal. I stopped watching after 28 mins. The 'Boss' and his cronies were terrible actors.

I couldn't submit this with less than 150 characters sadly. I can't say anything positive about the crap film other than I just about managed to sit through it for 21 mins and most of that was spent watching YouTube on my phone.

So the PI Mel breaks into the Byrds house to find the Goat cookie jar. Why didn't he simply go to the FBI agent with the possible evidence instead of waiting for the Byrds?

Didn't make sense.

Crap. I managed to watch 10 mins. Should've stopped at 1:59 when the first crap CGI dinosaur appeared but I was busy watching a YouTube channel.'The Duran' in case anyone was wondering.

Strange ending

I came here to see if anyone understood the ending. It didn't make much sense to me. Seo-yeon's Mum survived the attack by Young-sook so I assume she called the Police? So why wasn't Young-sook arrested? The end of credit scene has future Young-sook telling her past self that she might be killed and she also says that Seo-yeon's Mum and a Police Officer will be at the front door. She tells her past self to keep the phone with her no matter what happens. We then see past Young-sook lying on the floor in a puddle of blood (Seo-yeon's Mum has disappeared(?)). Why did she open the door? Seo-yeon's Mum fades away when she and S-Y are walking away from the cemetary. It seems that S-Y doen't notice? Y-S must have killed S-Y's Mum soon after she escaped/was rescued by the Police because when S-Y was at the cemetary it seemed that she assumed her Mum was dead?

Too confusing.

I'm half way through this series. So far so good. But I can't understand how the director seems to have overlooked one thing. How does the female prisoner get her trousers on and off if she can't remove the chain from her ankle?

Makes no sense to me.

Binge watched this series after watching 'Many Saints...'.

After the first episode I was hooked.

I must admit that I wasn't cheering for any of the characters other than Jennifer Melfi.

I was glad that she didn't succumb to Tony's 'charm'. I'm glad the script didn't have her asking Tony for help in dealing with her rapist. I guess if she had contemplated such a thought she'd have dismissed it knowing Tony would have her under his control. He was an overweight scumbag. If he didn't have 'power' women wouldn't look at him twice.

I was happy to see each of the main characters being killed off. Being gangsters they deserved it. As did Adriana, the woman Chris 'loved'🤣🤣(it's amusing how guys beat crap out their wives/gf's whilst saying I did it coz I love you).

They all knew (I found Meadows stupidity annoying) that they lived off the suffering and misery of others.

I have read some did he live or die articles.

My hope is that he,Carmela and AJ were all shot by 'Members Only' guy.

But the ending is whatever you want it to be.

I do not understand why people are fascinated by Bundy. He should have been executed when he was found guilty of the murder of the 12 yr old. Bundy was calculating. He had appeal after appeal to try to delay the inevitable. He should have been tortured,slowly,until he confessed.

The families of his murder victims didn't get justice.

I Am Legend (2007)

Silence is Golden

Today I decided to watch this for 2nd time. First saw it on release. What I don't understand with this(and The Walking Dead which I have started to watch) is why our protagonists don't use silencers on their guns. They know loud noises alert the 'zombies'.

Wills character was in the military so must have had access to them?

Yes I know it's only a film but....

Strange that Michael appeared to have been locked into the compartment he was found it and none of the crew questioned this?

And he wasn't missed by the person in charge of the maintainance crew?

Don't they have 'headcounts' to check everyone who was working on the space craft before it took off was actually accounted for?

Why didn't Zoe or David attach the oxygen tank to themselves more securely?

Ok I know the writer had to make it seem more dramatic but I do like things to make sense.

This film should be watched as a lesson/warning to help understand the curse of Alzheimers/Senility.

My dad developed Alzheimers and over the years became a different man to the one I knew. It started with little things. He'd 'lose' his wallet. A couple of times he'd take the cash from Ma's purse and 'lose' it. He had worked as a plumber. One day I went to visit him. As I opened the front door I smelt gas. There was dad,in the front room with a stripped out gas fire,about to use a blow torch. That was the day Ma told me she couldn't cope and so I moved back home to help look after him. Slowly he got worse. He'd go out early in the morning for walks. Sometimes in just his underwear. Once he managed to leave the house and we ended up having to call the Police. They found him. I started staying awake most nights to watch him. I was already an insomniac. Watching him change from my dad into someone who didn't know me was difficult. The Dr's told Ma that dad needed to go into a 'care' home. We had to have him 'committed'. I have always regretted that. He was visited everyday whilst in the 'care' home. When he was living at home I had given up my job to care for dad and so I could spend several hours with him daily. We'd go for walks. Have a fish & chips lunch. By this time I was almost a stranger to him. Occasionally he'd think I was his brother. Though he always spoke of the sons who never bothered to visit him. Ma would quite often have to buy dad a new watch as he'd 'lose' them. The hardest part of this cruel disease for us was that dad,like the man in this film,had forgotten that his daughter had been killed in a traffic accident 20 years before. He'd often ask where she was. We never told him the truth. There were times when he became violent(something the illness seemed to bring out in him). Sometimes dad would have a lucid moment. It always surprised me when he called me by my name. Those were the times that became really special to me. I'd ask him questions about his life. Those moments only lasted a few mins. I used to wonder what dad would say if,during a lucid moment,I had shown him a video of the man he had become. I'm fairly certain he'd have asked me to put him out of his misery. He was always a very proud man.

I could only manage to watch 23 mins of this.I was hoping it'd be so much better.At least the director showed how she was taken advantage of by many different people.I was expecting a PC type film.Billie Holiday lived in a strange time.She was addicted to drugs.She attracted the wrong men.Whose fault was that? Unfortunately even some of todays 'celebs' are seen as money making machines and when the cash disappears so do the 'hangers on'. A good example is Mike Tyson.Exploited by his manager and 'friends'.Hard times prob made BH.Sad that the people she had around her didn't care about her.Things are pretty much the same in the 21st century.Men beating their women and the use of the 'N' word. Many years ago when I heard 'Strange Fruit' I didn't need it explaining to me.
