Little Fockers (2010)
Disappointing at Best
I was very looking forward to this movie, as I loved the first movie (even if I found the second to be slightly lacking). However, I am extremely glad that I downloaded a pirated version of this rather than spending money on it.
The jokes were mediocre and lacking in any sort of originality. It was simply bad.
To top it all off, it ended with the premise that there may be another. Though I'm sure after the money and reviews this gets they will pull the plug quickly.
Summary: Save your money. If you must see it, download a pirated copy for free, because it does not deserve your cash.
Sweet November (2001)
When I saw the trailers for this movie on television, I dragged my then boyfriend to see it with me. It was terrible.
I love both Keanu Reeves and Charleze Theron, however in order to continue liking them I had to ban this film from memory. It's on television tonight, and now I'm reminded of my horrid memory.
It was completely unbelievable. In fact, at the end of the movie we were excited to leave, and laughed our butts off as we walked out.
Sara, the female lead, is a very unlikeable character. I felt that she was hokey and fake. She was selfishly attempting to keep the man in her life, not because she loved him, but because she just needed someone.
Shut Up & Sing (2006)
As worth your time as they were in the 90s
I used to like these girls, they have a great sound and wonderful lyrics. I even approve of their comment about Bush.
However, I like them for their entertainment level. If I want to hear politics I'll watch the news.
It's currently 2010. A few years ago I would have paid a lot of money to see these girls. Now, if I were to see them I would feel like I were going to see a political speech. I don't care what these random girls think about politics. Though I am no longer interested in their music.
Ladies, you used to have a fan. Now, you couldn't pay me to see you.
Apparently my review is not long enough to qualify for submission on this site. I'm not sure what else I have to say.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009)
I'm 23 minutes in, and have stopped this movie.
Normally if I'm going to rate a film, I will watch the whole thing. However, there are not many movies which force me to turn them off in the first quarter. I will generally give it a chance even if it's terrible.
This movie, however, breaks the mold. I generally love Matthew Mcconaughey. His early work was brilliant. Movies like this one show him to be a shallow actor. He is officially typecast into the romantic comedy genre. Usually his films are cute. This movie is crap.
The acting so far is shallow at best. I am extremely disappointed in both leading "actors". Jennifer Garner has done some incredible roles, and the fact that both of them would even consider putting their names on this show that they probably aren't getting any other offers.
And Micheal Douglas: What are you doing? You have a great resume. So you are getting older and don't have so much coming your way. Would you rather go out with class, or go out with really low quality volume? Bad move dude.
I am very glad that I pirated this movie. Seeing it in the theatre or renting it would have been the same as ripping up my money.
Knowing is a total let down
After the first half, I almost turned this off. Completely stupid. Like other commenters said, it was full of holes. Just dumb.
Save your money. I downloaded it illegally, so at least I only wasted time and not money.
Nicolas Cage used to do good movies. Not lately. The special effects in this looked like a cartoon. At the beginning I actually thought it was going to be a good, kind of freakishly thrilling flick. But as soon as aliens entered the picture, it became a waste of time. I have nothing against sci-fi, or a good alien movie. But the entire premise of this movie started out as a sort of thriller. It would be like a movie that's half sports and half foreign film. Not a mix. A complete switch right in the middle. Made no sense.
