Snowpiercer (2020–2024)
8/10
Highly intriguing and getting better every episode
3 March 2021
This series started off slow but has been escalating in quality episode by episode, the latter installments of season 2 (when I am writing this review) are showing particularly well, the show is now coming into its own, Jennifer Connelly is standout in her role and of course Sean Bean cannot be overlooked, I have to agree with the majority that the lead role was perhaps not the best casting decision however that doesn't deminish how good this show is becoming and as the title of this review says, its getting markedly better the more that are released.

Definitely Give it a shot and if you liked the Movie of the same name you will certainly enjoy this.

Snowpiercer: Many Miles from Snowpiercer (2021)
Season 2, Episode 6
9/10
The best episode of the entire show so far

I don't think that there is much more that I could say about this episode other than it was a fantastic addition to the recent story arcs, I don't think that this scenario could have been portrayed any better.

To the production crew/actors, this is by far and a way the best episode so far, please continue along these lines. This season and in particular this episode has given the show "heart" which seemed to be missing from the first season. I would like to say well done to everyone and in particular Jennifer Connelly who looks to be in her element making the character feel real and three dimensional.

Tenet (2020)

Intentionally confusing for the sake of it.

I have only given a 4 for the cinematography alone which is very nicely done, The score is far too loud which forced me to play the movie at a very high volume so that I could even partially understand the dialogue, this gave me a headache half way through.

The plot does for the most part make sense and is understandable with a lot of thought. However, the reason the plot is hard to follow is that during production they purposefully decided to leave out key information from the beginning of the movie that would have allowed the majority of the audience to understand that plot (Like almost all other movies with a complex concept) and instead dotted this key information throughout the movie (mostly towards the end) this is why people are saying that they understand after watching it twice as they now have the basic information that should have been given at the start.

The hard to follow plot is made far worse with the complete lack of pacing, scenes move on and switch at the speed of light with little to no explanation as to what is happening and why.

Quite frankly making the movie in this way is a middle finger to the majority of the audience as an ego rub for the writer/director Nolan. I have a fondness for most of his movies but this is not going to be one of those.

Highly realistic and extremely well executed

This movie gives an amazingly realistic look at the interplay that exist in actual hijacking scenarios. It is slower in pace and grittier in appearance and direction than what many expect from a Hollywood movie of this type and could be seen as more of a fictional "documentary" which I expect is the reason for the shockingly low reviews seen. However in my opinion the acting and direction of this movie make it one of the best in its genre and well worth watching.
