A thousand times better than the original!
I had the pleasure of seeing this at midnight in IMAX. I have to say it kicked the originals ass about 10,0000 times. It had everything the original had: great acting by the same actors, amazing special effects, same great robots. There were other things the original had but were bettered by this one: the score by the amazing Steve Jablonsky, more humor, an amazing soundtrack by various artists (namely Linkin Park's New Divide, which was worked into the score), and new robots. Do not listen to those who are complaining about it just because it was 2 and a half hours long. You will wish it would never end. An amazing plot, great characters, and the same lovable Autobots plus some new funny ones, and the same old evil Decepticons. It is the original, only better!!! A million times better!!! And a recommendation: see it in IMAX
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Amazing retelling that blows you away!!!!
I am among the numbers of people who were disappointed greatly by Ang Lee's version of the Hulk. But this version lived up to everything I had expected the first time around. Edward Norton played a magnificent Bruce Banner, while Liv Tyler surprised me greatly as Betty Ross. With a big fan base like the Hulk's I didn't think Liv Tyler would live up to expectations for this character, but then again, did Jennifer Connelly? Tyler did wonderfully, in my opinion. William Hurt was convincing as Thaddeus Ross, and Tim Roth blew me away as Blonsky aka The Abomination, which was what he truly was...and the surprise at the end truly made it was freaking' sweet film. But mostly Edward Norton contributed to my appreciation for this movie. The action was AMAZING, not a lot of brooding, freely scenes, but enough too make Bruce and Betty's relationship work. This is a totally beast movie and I highly recommend this.
Amazing Musical Film
I was worried that this wouldn't be the Hairspray I had come to know by heart and love. I am a huge fan, I own the original movie, the soundtrack, and I have seen the play on Broadway. But as soon as I stepped into the theatre and saw Nikki Blonsky singing "Good Moring Baltimore", I knew it was going to be great! It was amazing! I was even impressed by Zac Efron, who I thought wouldn't be a great choice for Link, but he was perfect. And newcomer Nikki Blonsky made me forget about Ricki Lake in a second. The costumes, actors, script, and especially the songs and dances were amazing!!! It turns out it is actually one of my favorite movies!!!
