Lists by Swacs-Man

a list of 25 titles
A list of every Adam Sandler film I've seen, rated from best to worst. The Sandman has been around for about 25 years, and whether you like him or not, you've probably seen many of his films. I really like his serious work, but rarely has he taken that path. His loud man-child persona worked best in his early efforts and his chemistry with Drew Barrymore makes for some genuinely touching scenes.

While later efforts have ranged from uninspired to embarrassing (Jack and Jill being a serious low-point), the Sandman always seems to bounce back up. This year he stars in Jason Reitman's Men, Women & Children, which has considerable Oscar buzz.

Admittedly, it's been a while since I've seen a couple of his films, but I'll adjust if a given film has improved upon re-watch.

I've omitted films where Sandler only has cameos or smaller or uncredited parts, like the Rob Schneider films or other Happy Madison productions where he pops up.

Upon hearing the sad news of director Tony Scott's passing, I decided to make a list of his films ranked from best to worst.

a list of 18 titles
Although he's neither as productive, nor as brilliant, as he used to be, John Carpenter remains one of my favorite directors. I've seen all his films, and what follows is my personal ranking of them. Only theatrical films are listed, but I thoroughly enjoyed his two Masters of Horror entries.

a list of 10 titles
A list of 10 of the most unique horror films I've seen, all of them quite unforgettable. I do realize that 1.000's of film could fit into this category (like all Troma releases), so feel free to make suggestions. Not in any particular order.

PS Be sure to watch some Jodorowsky, Lynch, etc.

a list of 25 people
A list of 25 (not necessarily in order) directors that I admire the most. I haven't included older favorites like Scorsese, Spielberg, Coen Brothers, Burton, Lynch, Cronenberg, Eastwood etc, since most people know and admire these people. Hopefully, this list will give some alternative choices. All director's on the list is proven and have made several great films, IMO.

I've probably forgotten more than one awesome director, so feel free to recommend and comment.
