The Kardashians (2022)
Worn out boring trash
I watched the first season to see if there was any difference from their previous show. Well, it's basically the same thing as KUWTK, but worse. They just can't stop filming so that they can make tons of $ for doing unimportant crap. They are fake, emotionally weird and over dramatic. I still don't feel any smartness or talent from any of them. It's just dumb. Why is Kim so full of herself? You know that she would not be acting like she cared and wanted to be this 'better person' as she now claims, if she wasn't already wealthy. Does anybody really buy into this crap? Every little thing they do is to make huge money and I notice everyone on the show kisses these people's behinds. I'm sure this is all made up in advance. Unrealistic reality show..just plain mindless stupidity at this point.
Us (2019)
Peele's mind is brilliant, but the movie is not
I applaud Jordan Peele's writing and his amazing ability to symbolize, his depth for hidden meaning, and all around fresh creativity. His film Get Out was all around spectacular. The problem I feel with US, is that the movie itself was not that good. I found it to be frustrating and at times even boring. This just added to the already convoluted feel, and it makes it difficult to convey. When you feel compelled to go online to understand so much that you know you're missing, it kind of defeats the purpose of watching the film. I would like to watch it again, yet have little desire to at the same time because somehow it just isn't overly interesting. When you watch a breakdown of the film, it makes sense and is rather brilliant, but the actual movie somehow fell flat.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
Lol?
It seems like with each Elm Street film, Freddy becomes a bit more comedic. By this one, he's full fledged comedian. From a lot of his dialogue, including him being the witch on the broomstick like in Wizard of Oz, to bouncing in a video game, I found myself laughing in this one quite a bit. It didn't feel quite as dark as the other films, but still scary. The movie isn't half bad for about the first half, but became dull later on. It's worth watching if you're in the mood for it.
Room 104 (2017)
Not sure what to think anymore..
It's an interesting episodic show, though I feel it's lacking and becoming duller. The first 2 seasons were pretty decent. My favorite was the artificial hybrid episode in season 2..it's pretty genius and is worth the watch. I tune in weekly because although I don't think every episode is good, each one makes you think or sometimes stumps you in some way. Lately however, I'm tuning in more just hoping for a decent episode and I can't say there has been. I find myself struggling to get through season 3, without starting to do something else or picking up my phone while watching the episodes. Maybe there will be some better ones soon.
