Letters to Juliet (2010)
Has potential but doesn't hold up to it
This movie promises to be the usual or maybe even BETTER than all the rest romantic comedies of the year but doesn't accomplish that. SPOILER You can tell you are going to enjoy this movie - it starts slowly, presenting Verona, the relationship between Sophie and Victor, our initial engaged couple. They should soon be married and this vacation to Verona serves as a honeymoon - more or less. The minute Charlie enters the place Sophie is - the whole movie dynamic is changed - first off: he walks like a chump! The guy has no idea how to act and I've seen Amanda Seyfried almost laughing a couple of times! Chemistry zero. Pointless movie. So, unless you're 15, I wouldn't recommend watching this.
Third Watch (1999)
Absolutely a must see, this show combines action with feeling and it's not a lot of shows that get this combo right.
Molly Price and Jason Wiles have great chemistry together as Faith and Bosco and the storyline is believable, dramatic and it gets to you.
The storyline develops among other characters as well, fire squad, police and ems but doesn't change the chemistry along the way. Also, as the seasons advance, you get to see how they cope with a great deal of situations at work and on a personal level.
Keeps you on the edge at all times.
It's a great show! Definitely worth a shot!!! Or two...
Weekend cu mama (2009)
I am usually not a fan of Romanian films but this one topped my expectations! The story develops around an 18-20 year old girl named Cristina (Adela Popescu). She's a drug addict. The story gets going when she meets her mother who just returned from Spain. It's a powerful drama about family relationships and past while dealing with the present.
I heard somewhere that "all Romanian films have horrible outdoor sound and no soundtrack". That may be true, but this one has a soundtrack and it's a beautiful one - no outdoor sounds. It's an enjoyable movie, I advise you to go see it.
My Sassy Girl (2008)
I can't say I understand the "original versus remake" fight. Yes, it's a remake, so what? The original one may be better, but this doesn't make this one unwatchable! So, for all remake haters: how much people do you think would've heard of this movie in it's original version as long as we know it's a 2001 film and the publicity it had was really weak? The remake it's really good fun, it's a romantic comedy, love story, fairy tale, whatever you wanna name it, it's gooood !!!!
I liked this movie because of the story, it's uncommon, it's unpredictable! Honestly, I'm tired of the classic comedy where boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy get's girl back or vice-versa. This one actually made me feel the story and believe the characters.
Totally watchable. Totally underrated. Totally...excellent!
