Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010)
One of the best Hindi movie......in a long time!!!
This movie is excellent. The drama in the movie is pulsating and very gripping. Direction, Acting, Story and Songs all of them are very well done. The story line is very strong as it relates to Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim. There are very few songs but all of them are superb.
The only bad part I would say is the romance in the middle was little dragging and Prachi does not fit the role of a gangster girl. She does her acting well but you can tell she does not feel very comfortable with some of the roles.
This is definitely one of the good Indian movies in a long, long time. Not to be missed.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006)
I really wish I had not spent the money to see this movie in the theatre. This movie is a big let down. The movie has a storyline which could have been portrayed much better in much less time. Instead the movie drags on and on. The acting of SRK is really bad. Amitabh Bachchan had the best acting followed by Abhishek Bachchan. The good things in the movie are the 2 songs which are shot in a club and the chemistry between Amitabh and Kiron Kher (SRK's mom in the movie). Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee are OK. Karan Johar has not really come up with a big hit since Kaal Ho Naa Ho. If you really want to see this movie, just rent it.
The Killer (2006)
This is an excellent copy of Collateral. Actually, much better than the American version. I almost did not see the movie, but once I started watching I could not turn it off. The acting and the dialogues are excellent. Emraan does a great job as a taxi driver and Irfan is again the bad guy playing the role of the hired killer. Nisha Kothari does a decent job of providing glamour in the movie. The location, Dubai is also a good location for the movie. The negatives are the acting of the police team. The three main police actors seems to be hired out of a low-budget movie. This is a good thriller which is hard to find in Indian movie market.
