In My Father's Den (2004)
In my fathers den
Brad macCann done a superb job on this movie. It is a beautiful and thought provoking movie. I congratulate Brad on his choice for the role of 'Paul Prior' Matthew macfadyen is superb in this movie. He sizzles on screen. What a great actor he is. The young Celia was very good too. Loved the music in the movie also and it was good the story was told in flashbacks. I loved the scene's between Paul and Celia. They were superb. Loved the scene when Paul is lying on the bed playing with the net curtains. The scene in the den where Celia tells Paul her dream was so moving and when Celia confronts Paul about the photo. Matthew was superb in that scene. His looks said it all. I could go on and on. Congrats again to Brad.
Matthew mac fadyen was brilliant in Spooks. He is a great actor. He can take on any role. He was the best Darcy ever in 'Pride and Prejudice' rich, proud but human. He was superb in 'In my fathers den' Can not wait to see him in 'Middlestown' He was great in 'Warriors' Bosnia. In 'The way we live now' 'Almost strangers' I could go on and on. Matthew will go far. He knows his craft. Would love to see him more on television. He is great in period drama's. Spooks was not the same after he left the series. Will look forward to seeing him in 'Death at a funeral'which is in production at the moment. He is one of the best British actors around today. He has a great voice. It is easy on the ear. Matthew is a handsome manly man and looks great on screen.
Pride & Prejudice (2005)
I enjoyed the movie very much. I did not think I would as I loved the BBC series with Colin Firth. The movie is a lot shorter but the story was well done. Mathew McFadden was brilliant as Mr Darcy. I would have liked to see him in more scenes. He is a very talented actor. Knightley was very good in the role as Elizabeth, but her costumes were a bit drab most of the time. Judie Dench was brilliant as she always is. Donald Sunderland was excellent. The locations are beautiful and the music. Tom Hollander was great as Mr Collins. He brought humour to the roll. I have watched the movie five times and I will watch it again. Great stuff.
