Lists by jwoehr
I post the reviews when I see the movies. Not a psychic so haven't seen any yet lol. I just make the list itself in Januray. I add the reviews as the year goes on and I actually see the movies.
Ranking the ones out now anyway.
Ones I didn't really like: Taking Pelham 123 the remake and the painfully silly The Fan. Scott is still a more talented version of Michael Bay though.
More to come. As for who will die in Arrow. I unfortunately pick tough and hot Thea. I predict she is killed by Malcolm who is the villain through the rest of the season instead of Damien Darhk.
When Felicity gets more whiny and useless as the series goes on.
I love Heat but with this list I mean the less violent ones about mostly just the heist.
There's many more but these are the best.
Jumanji was an under-rated Robin Williams film of 1995. That was called too scary for kids.
Spoiler: To me the only flaw was the overly happy ending. That made it that beating the board game could magically wind back time. While giving everyone the happy lives they missed out on.
So if they really have to remake the movie. They should at least scrap that ending.
Note, I didn't see any of the Grindhouse 70's films. But here's films I consider similar or at least cult classics. Or just B-Movies. Are in no particular order.
If it's not here, I didn't see it or found it boring lol.
Films I still need to see.: Steve Jobs, Bridge of Spies, Joy, Concussion, The Revenant, Carol, 99 Homes, Bone Tomahawk, Mr. Holmes, Turbo Kid, Final Girls, Trumbo, The Lobster, Youth, Dope, Straight Outta Compton, The Big Short, The Walk, Pawn Sacrifice.
I don't smoke too much but here's a list anyway.
Green Goblin is as played out as Uncle Ben killed on screen. So I wouldn't complain if there's no Osborne.
Couples with a lack of chemistry.
If I picked the winners. Since there was no Best Animated Film Oscar Before the 2001 films.
Would say the Ghostbusters but don't want to leave out Winston.
I think I made a list like this already but can't find it to add some movies.
Otherwise known as Mind..."F" movies but I can't say that here.
I guess I should have Birdman but didn't see the big deal about it.
As a straight man, these movies don't make me want to gouge my eyes out and pull off my ears.
Movies with great soundtracks in my opinion. I am all for a good musical score but this list isn't about that.
I like Will. I just find it babyish, unprofessional and racist in it's own right that he won't attend the Oscars since no black actors are nominated.
Rather than just supporting fellow actors.
When Woody Allen casts hot actresses as a love interests it's meant to be funny. But most of those movies were rated well. These movies are the worst rated from any of these actresses.
I was pretty letdown by Rainbow 6 that you have no team to command. It didn't feel like a Rainbow 6 game that I grew up with on Nintendo 64.
While I am still working on the last couple of Assassin Creeds that I didn't even try the last 2 yet lol.
More to come I'm sure. Missing anyone ? Let me know.
Let's face it Shrek the Third sucked because of Artie mostly; voiced by Justin Timberlake.
If it's great and it's not on the list, then I didn't see it.
I improved the list since yeah I did have some bad ones lol.
I didn't know what else to call the list but these are my kind of movie that remind of each other in a way.
I guess direction and look wise. Even if they don't all have the CIA or Spies.
I never saw Felicity to rank it. Or his TV movie Anatomy of Hope.
Some aren't considered classics just because they weren't certified fresh by critics ? Well they were wrong about Home Alone and Muppets Christmas Carol. So what do they know ?
In my opinion. I don't watch Downtown Abbey or Mad Men. Or those artiste shows critcs love.
I like Funny People so that's why no one from it is here. It's mostly his Happy Madison movies that suck. His Happy Madison films are junk, yet more and more talented people do them every year.
It's as bad as if Jimmy Stewart, Janet Leigh and John Wayne were in an Ed Wood movie.
Sony just wants Idris Elba as Roland because the Bond rumors died down.
The Dark Tower already has a strong black character. Roland was written to be Eastwood/Western like. Elba is a good actor but he doesn't remind me of Eastwood.
The ones I have seen so far. Don't listen to the reviews for most of these shows. Critics are boring and waiting for the next The Good Wife or Downtown Abbie.
Mostly so they don't get cancelled without an ending. Since ratings are down with most shows on the list. Meanwhile ratings are good for Vampire Diaries but it should just end anyway.
Meaning November-December which is like the summer movie season all over again. So I don't mean Christmas movies, Halloween or Groundhog Day movies.
There's StarWars Day "May 4th", Hobbit Day "September 22nd", Batman Day "September 26th" and Back to the Future Day "October 21st".
Other days we need.
September 26th is Batman Day! Here's some of the best movies to celebrate that.
Where your actions have consequences.
Movies like Starsky and Hutch and 21 Jump Street I want to see.
Making fun of what they are adapting.
Note that I'ge never seen Chocolat, Don Juan, Dead Man, Before Night Falls, The Man Who Cried and Libertine.
Noteworthy: 21 Jump Street the show and his cameo in the movie. Voice work in Spongebob versuses the Big One.
I know I forgot Daybreakers but if it was on the list it would be in the middle somewhere.
Not worth getting into who killed who in Scream 3. Since there was only one killer.
Evidently Shane Black (Iron Man 3) will be rebooting Predator. Since the dude loves Christmas time in all his movies; it will take place in Santa's workshop instead of the jungle. And the Predator is after elf skulls!
Great, now I rather see a fake trailer for this than Black's actual Predator reboot.
First there was Land of the Lost, then 21 Jump Street, now Baywatch. What's next ?
As a director; not an actor.
I haven't seen Pixels yet but I assume it's awful since he teamed with Adam Sandler and Happy Madison to make it.
Or just plain small people.
Guardians of the Galaxy weren't famous until a movie. So it's time to make more black superheroes famous. When there's many of them yet to be on the big screen.
Which makes Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm even more unnecessary. It's time to make Cloak and Dagger or Spawn famous.
There are many more but IMDB doesn't have them listed.
Skip Pixels since everything Adam Sandler does turns to *beep* Watch these instead.
Although none are bad. And note that Ant-Man is the final Phase 2 movie still to come.
Fighting demons and stuff like that..
The Conjuring was good but even that had to kill off the dog. So many horror movies predictably kill off the dog. I'd write a horror movie where the dog is the hero lol.
WWE themselves said John Cena of course at number 1 with Stone Cold at number 25. What bull is that ??
Here's the more accurate list. That doesn't only exist to brainwash you that Cena is great.
Meaning they played many different stand out roles.
Just me thinking out loud to how many movies have done it. I just find that it's Hollywood's way of making a character we have seen many times come off more fresh.
But tell me how many have been good.
The best movies where cast from TV shows made a movie based on that show.
