Intezar (1956)
How Beautiful and Melodious a Voice can be!
The movie opens in a Kashmir village, a girl who remembers and awaits her teenage love (played by Noor Jehan). The boy (Santosh Kumar) from a rich family in Karachi returns to Kashmir looking for his lost love of his teen hood. And as the movie progresses, the drama is supported by Noor Jehan's hauntingly melodious songs, classical dances. A worthwhile movie for music lovers. Again in this movie, all the songs by Noor Jehan were live recorded at film studio sets. The voice is hauntingly melodious and beautiful... more than words can say. A worthwhile musical experience that one must go through.

A SUPERB MUSICAL FILM ESPECIALLY NOOR JEHAN's SONGS ARE HAUNTINGLY MELODIOUS
The story revolves around a beautiful and faithful wife (Noor Jehan) of an army officer (Ajay Kumar), who is engaged in world war-II. The wife waits for him. and the story takes a turn with the death news of Ajay. The movie has excellent music and above all Noor Jehan's songs, that were live recorded at studio sets make it a miracle; a musical experience that one comes across only once in a life time.
