a new depth of dreadfulness
A clear contender for the worst movie ever made. It is astounding that anyone considers it satire. It is inept in every respect. It makes "Elvis Has Left the Building" look like an Oscar contender. One must assume that its fans are utter idiots and/or drunken stoners. Oh well, what else can one expect these days? Ten lines are required by IMDb to create a valid post. This fits with the general degradation of culture. Counting lines, or, as in this movie, doobie and phart jokes, rather than any real content or value or worth. Standards no longer exist when a phart contest is the highlight of a movie rated at 10 by a substantial percentage of clearly moronic habitues of IMDb.
The Fugitive (1993)
Dreadful trash and a total waste of time
I give it a 3/10, if it hadn't been so pointlessly long, I might have given it a 4. If it had had any of the virtues of the TV show, I would have gone to 5 or 6.
But it is dreadful boring trash. Only Tommy Lee Jones was worth watching. Harrison Ford, who can act the gamut from A to B, was even wasted here.
The owners of the original should sue, but I guess they probably sold their souls, so can't. What a travesty! Just read the summaries of the original to see what this show was about.
Let's ignore any precursor. Can this movie stand on its own? No. Horrible pacing; illogical plot; inaccurate scenes like the RR, the dam, everybody running into each other, inability of Kimble to disguise himself, involvement of US Marshals in local jurisdiction, etc. etc.
I'm glad I saw this mess, because now I don't ever have to see it again, and maybe I can save a few others from wasting their time.
Hitler: The Rise of Evil (2003)
Hitler is excruciating
Well, I refer to the actor. Completely miscast. But who can possibly do this right anymore. So hackneyed, predictable, laden with the incomprehensible horrors of history.
But these actors? What an insult to it all.
Pathetic, bloated, wimpy, trash
Gave it a 2. Started out with some 5-ish promise, and went steadily downhill, except for the good work of max headroom and Dakota Fanning. Bogosity so immense it would take days to describe it all. Worthless writing, almost no special effects, repetitious hide and seek, neverending agonized expressions on female actors' faces (poor things). The worst Army operations since Bull Run.
I gave it a 2 just to be charitable. Spielberg should be absolutely ashamed to have his name on this pablum.
