This film was watched by the whole family and will always be one of our
favourites. We were about to depart on a holiday to Disneyland Paris and
this film will always be associated with the great time that we had.
I especially love the opening scene and now that we have a home entertainment system it sounds fantastic with the elephants' footsteps booming throughout the room.
As to the film itself my kids loved it even with the dire images that Disney portrays so well for the hero to overcome. They were not frightened. (Aged at the time 6 and 3).
My favourite characters will always be Timon and Pumbaa. The good thing about this film is that the dialogue falls on 2 levels with the adults being well catered for.
Recommended to anyone who has not seen the film.
Looking forward to the DVD.
I watched this when I was at Uni. I was going through a negative patch and
found that this film gave me a great lift. It taught me that it is much
fun doing things together than on your own. It also taught me that you can
succeed if you really have the desire.
The music was great and was added to my collection of soundtracks. It also turned me on to the talents of the leading lady.
A good feeling film.
This was a film that I was happy to watch with my two little girls. (5 and 8 year olds). They have spent time mimicking the main characters and have their favourite parts. The film was well written and acted and the main character was a 'Natural' in the part. We all warmed to her from the start. I came away at the end feeling uplifted but then I am an old softy anyway. The secondary characters complimented the others and the villainess was superb. Thoroughly enjoyable and not too 'american!'
