A tribute to Bret The Hitman Hart, 6 December 2001

One of the WWF's tributes to the 5 time WWF Champion Bret"The Hitman"Hart. Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon, the video recaps the Hitman's first three WWF Championship reigns. Some of Bret's best matches - such as his duel with Mr.Perfect and Roddy Piper for the Intercontinental Title, as well as his first ever WWF Championship win over the Nature Boy Ric Flair. The video concludes with Bret Hart beating Kevin Nash at the Survivior Series to win the WWF Championship for the 3rd time.

One of the worst of all time!, 22 March 2001

I cant believe I was dumb enough to sit through this! This has to be the worst movie Ive ever seen, even beating all of Chris Klein's disasters. It's a shame really, because the plot itself has a lot of potential - submerged aircrafts, navy operations etc - usually end up drawing good crowds but this one was just horrible. This is the first time Ive seen Nicole Eggert since Baywatch, and I cant believe she would take part in such a bad movie. She still looks pretty good but even eye candy could'nt save this one. If anyone's cable operator decides to show this one on a Sunday night - sue 'em!

Typical tv movie, 28 July 2000

A made for tv movie starring Penelope Anne Miller, Killing Moon has a good plot but poor direction and screenplay. The cast did a good job with the exception of Daniel Baldwin who has absolutely no acting talent and is definately the worst performer of the Baldwin brothers. While the plot had plenty of potential, it was'nt developed properly by the writers who did a pretty ordinary job with the conclusion as well. All in all, it's a typical tv movie - good performances from Penelope Anne Miller, Daniel Kash and Diana Salvatore.

Denzel Shines, 20 July 2000
7/10

Another Spike Lee Classic - Another fantastic performance by Denzel Washington. Milla Jovovich put in a decent performance but was a little short on screen time which is understandable since this was Denzel's film all the way. Public Enemy's music was terrific - especially the title song 'He got Game'. I think this movie did a lot for Denzel - it enabled him to make the jump from a terrific actor to a real star. Overall - 7/10, but it's worth watching just to see Denzel's performance. Great stuff.

Thunder is on the Air, 11 July 2000

Thunder is WCW's second most popular show - after Nitro. It's a weekly show that can only be seen on TBS on Wednesdays. All the top stars of WCW are present and frequent title matches take place on Thunder, although not as much as Nitro. It's a good show..definately the best way to spend a Wednesday evening. Tony Schiavone is your host, along with Bobby The Brain Heenan and the Professor Mike Tenay.

Twisted - but well done., 3 July 2000

Easily Sarah Michelle Gellar's best performance to date. I really dont care how she's done on her tv show - movies are what counts, as far as Im concerned. This film was her first true opportunity to shine and she did so. People are calling Cruel Intentions a modern adaption of Dangerous Liasons - could be. Either way, this was certainly one of the best films of 1999, although granted - it did not have much competition. Also, good performances by Selma Blair and Reese Witherspoon. Overall rating 7.5/10.

Interesting look at the Disco Age., 26 June 2000
9/10

Highly enjoyable with a terrific soundtrack - Last days of Disco was a pleasant surprise. The music was terrific - the soundtrack has some catchy numbers - from Chic, Blondie etc. Standout performances from Chloë Sevigny and Christopher Eigeman. One of Sevigny's early films - definately worth watching. Movie Rating 7/10 - Soundtrack 9/10.

A recap of Nitro and Thunder, 22 June 2000

Saturday night is basically a show that recaps the events that took place on WCW Nitro and Thunder. Top superstars such as Bret"Hitman"Hart, Goldberg and the "Chosen one"Jeff Jarrett etc are never booked to appear on the show. Instead the show recaps what happened the previous week with Terry Taylor and Larry Zybsko. Entertaining - but nowhere near the quality of Nitro or Thunder.

WCW Shines - Again, 13 June 2000

After months of turmoil following the removal of Vince Russo, WCW is finally back on it's feet and improving day by day. It will take a while for Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff to take WCW back to the top of the Wrestling World but with the talent that they have available to them in the locker room - as well as Russo's writing skills - WCW will once again leave the WWF behind and become the Number 1 Wrestling promotion in the country. Russo's writing skills are the best in the business and the recent angles involving Ric Flair, Goldberg, Nash and Kidman are only a taste of what's in store for the fans in the future. Bret"The Hitman"Hart is still out with a concussion but with his and Goldberg's full time return to the ring - along with the continuation of the push towards building up younger wrestlers such as Kidman, Vampiro, Big Poppa Pump etc - WCW looks set to continue their climb to the top of the mountain. Nitro in the past few weeks has been a far better show than Raw and if WCW can maintain their momentum...they should be in a fantastic position to reclaim the ratings crown that they held for so long.
