Two for the Money (2005)
Me and all my friends loved this movie
i went with a group of about 10 people and we all loved this movie.. and the other people in the theater seemed to really enjoy it as well.. a very good mix of comedy and drama.. and if you know anything about sports, or better yet, sports betting, then there is a lot of real tension as well.. but the absolute best thing about the movie is PACINO.. man, that guy is incredible.. he can be so funny, so intense, and he is just a joy to watch.. And although it looks like just a fun, mainstream movie (which it is), there are actually quite a few layers to it.. there is a father/son thing going on and a subject matter (sports gambling and addiction) that is very real and has not been covered in movies yet.. Go see this movie.. Pacino is so great to watch..
The Merchant of Venice (2004)
Pacino is BRILLIANT here..
Seriously, where is Al Pacino's Oscar nomination for this one? Is it that we take him for granted at this point in his career? Pacino here is extraordinary.. He gives a complex, heartbreaking performance as Shylock, the Jewish money lender.. the movie as a whole was quite great, with beautiful shots of Venice to look at and a pitch perfect score to listen to.. the other actors all do a fine job as well, but the real reason to see this is Pacino.. I have seen all the nominated Oscar performances of 2004, and I must say that Pacino was snubbed.. blame it on the anti-semitism associated with the play, the lack of campaigning by the studio, the late release date with no major push, or most likely, all of the above.. in my mind, the best performances of the year belong to Jamie Foxx in Ray, Don Cheadle in Hotel Rwanda, and Al Pacino in The Merchant of Venice..
Angels in America (2003)
Best movie of 2003
Hands down.. the critics are right-- if this movie were released to theaters, it would sweep the Oscars.. acting, directing, and the script are all top notch..
Pacino, Kirk, and Parker are all standouts.. I fully expect them to be nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes, possibly along with Streep and Wright.. Kushner's witty and clever script addresses religion, sexuality, politics, and AIDS-- heavy topics addressed seriously, but balanced with humor..
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
a very good movie
I think this is a very great movie, it gives you a rush and the cars are awesome.....VERY excellent. An ok love part but the story line is incredible and the races are magnificent
I very much recommend it to you
The Godfather (1972)
By far, the best movie that I have ever seen (and that's saying a lot)... The acting, the story, the action, the family, everything!!!
Al Pacino gives us the best performance the screen has ever seen... Watching his transformation through the three films is simply amazing... Brando, Duvall, Caan, Keaton and Cazale are all outstanding as well...
The Best... period...
