Tron: Legacy (2010)

A fun, entertaining, big special effects movie

Actually, I would give this a 7 and a half stars. I think a lot of people (mostly reviewers) gave this a poor rating is that they had their hopes set very high. You should come into this movie thinking that it will not be the best movie you will see and you should watch it for the entertainment value. It is highly entertaining, fun and has great visuals. The 3D is great even though it is not all 3D but has 2D pieces to it too(in the right places). At the beginning you will see you are in for a visual treat just by seeing the Disney castle logo before the movie. I think people are not really into very big special effect movies these days and that the good movies that has come out in the past year or two kind of make people raise their expectations. Not that you should lower them for this movie. Just be ready for a movie that is fueled by tons of big special effects and not by plot.

The Dark Knight (2008)

What a movie!

This movie has it all... action, romance, drama. I love a movie with multiple genres thrown into it. Get action by all its performers. It was great to go to the IMAX and see all the action scenes actually in IMAX covering the whole screen. It made me feel like I was in the movie. There are a few complaints I had with it. First was it seemed really long, second was that Two Face/Harvey Dent died. I mean Two-Face was one of the best bad guys apart from the Joker and the Riddler. Third was that they replaced Katie Holmes in it. True she may not be the best actress but I don't like it when they replace a actor in a movie for example, Racheal Weisz in The Mummy movies. and finally fourth, I wish we saw more of the Scarecrow. Other than those four things I loved the movie.

Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007)

Star Trek Meet Sliders

This is one of my top favorite Sci-Fi shows. It is at least in my top five along with Sliders and Star Trek. It is a great idea for a show. I loved the movie and I like James Spader and Kurt Russell but they replaced the actors for the show with good ones, Richard Dean Anderson and Micheal Shanks. I would have liked it if Richard and Micheal were their roles on the movie or James and Kurt for the series but for a TV show they needed TV actors and for a movie they needed movie actors. I don't know if they needed to make two spin-off series but it is good to know that Stargate still lives. I wish that Micheal Shanks had stayed for the whole length of the show. But at least most of the actors did. I don't know if they really needed another actor for the show after the show lost Micheal Shanks but I think they got a good actor to step in.

The Last Airbender (2010)

Not as bad as people say it is

Come on people, give this movie credit. Of course since it is based off something else it will not live up to the expectations of the viewers. But this movie is an exciting, entertaining movie with an interesting story. It seems like if a movie is just entertaining and that is pretty much all then people give the movie a bad review. Take for example Knight and Day and Eagle Eye. Those got bad reviews but were fun, entertaining and no brainer movies. It is interesting that the new Twilight movie is getting a lot better reviews than The Last Airbender when The Last Airbender was in my opinion a better movie than the new Twilight movie. The movie also has incredible special effects and I love those kind of movies. So all in all this movie wasn't that bad of a movie.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Nowhere As Good As The Original

You should not go into this movie thinking this movie will blow you away or thinking it will be an exceptional movie because you won't be blown away and this is not an exceptional movie and is no where near as good as the original but this movie wasn't that bad. Of course nobody can really replace Robert as Freddy since he was and will always be the best and original. Jackie Earle Haley was not too bad at making the character his own but he is better in Human Target. Though some of the acting may have needed more work. They didn't really need to remake a movie that the original was really good. The problems with this movie was that why remake a movie that doesn't need to be remade and why dis they have to change him being a child murderer to a child molester (They didn't) but I do admire that they tried to change it up a little but they didn't need to. Al in all this wasn't that bad of a movie.

The Code (I) (2009)

Not as bad as people say

This was a fun movie. It had some interesting characters. Most people watch movies to have fun and this movie was fun. Sometimes people expectations for a good movie is too high. Think of this movie as one of the best straight to video heist movies. True it is no Italian Job or Ocean's Eleven but not all movies have to be. The movie has interesting characters, good actors who do good acting in the movie and a good twist at the end. It is an all out fun movie to watch, plus it has some good humor. You shouldn't go into this movie with high expectations since it is a low budget, straight to video movie. This is one of the better straight to video movies. So you shouldn't judge this movie so harshly. It is nice to see Antonio Bandres in a movie again you just don't see him in movies now a days. So sit back and relax and I hope you enjoy the movie.

Eagle Eye (2008)

A Good, Edge Of Your Seat Thriller

First of all don't judge this movie before you see it what seems like people are doing. A great, fast paced story with good action. This is what we come to the movies for...to be entertained and this movies does just that. One Of the best thrillers in a long time. It seem liked the movies have hit a slump lately but this movie brings the movies out of a slump. Other than The Dark Knight this is the best movie to hit theaters. If you saw this movie and didn't like it then you should re-evaluate what you think makes movies good. If I could sum this movie up in a few words then they would be intense, awesome, and entertaining. Watch this movie and you should not be disappointed.

Mirrors (I) (2008)

One of the better horror movies these days

This movie is certainly not the best horror movie I have seen but out of horror movies that come out now of days it is one of the better ones. The death scenes were a little over the top and gory but at least the movie didn't really on mostly gore that a lot of horror movies these days do. Keifer Suterland was pretty good and there were a few jump scares. I like it that they added a little bit of mystery to it. I give this movie a B for effort. It did seem a little long though, they could have made it at least a little bit shorter. They had some cool special effects like when the mirror got shot and the holes repaired themselves. Overall it was not that bad of a movie.

The Fog (2005)

Very Cool!!

No matter what other people so this movie was pretty good. The story was interesting and the special effects were cool. Tom Welling and Maggie Grace are good at making you care for the characters. It was some of the most fun I've had this summer. This movie also had a good twist at the ending. Even the fog looked real. I have seen the original movie The Fog and I like this one better. It was more entertaining, exciting and had a better story than the original one. I'm not saying the original one wasn't good but this version was better. This movie was one of the best horror movies that have come out in the last year or so. So if you want to have some fun this fall then go see this movie

Taxi (I) (2004)

One Of The Funniest Movies Of The Year!!!

This movie was great. If you think this movie sucked then you have little or no sense of humor. Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah rocked. This movie got the whole audience laughing at the theater I went to. This movie had a decent plot and good acting. I am going to buy this movie when it comes to DVD. Of course this movie had good hot girls in it but you got to think past that. This movie is not about how good looking the girls are. There was some really good car chases in it. You should see this movie. I hope Ebert and Roper give this one two thumbs up because this movie deserves it. I had a great time watching it. You should too if you have a good sense of humor and you love comedies.

Ladder 49 (2004)

One Of The Best Movies Of The Year!!!

This movie was great. Some people didn't like this movie because they refer to Sept. 11th which I think that is silly. Why base a movie on an issue that happened three years ago. They should put 9/11 aside and then review this movie. Some people say this is not way to honor firefighters. Maybe this movie is not to honor the firefighters but to should what they go through everyday and what impact it makes on their family and friends. The fire scenes were awesome and very real. The acting was great. I normally don't cry during sad movies but I did get tears in my eyes during this movie. Of course this movie was sad but it was also funny during some parts. I was really amazed at this movie.

Shark Tale (2004)

I Loved This Movie!!!

I don't know why this movie got bad reviews. It has a good story, funny characters, good computer graphics and it was just fan to watch. If you didn't think this movie was funny then I guess you have little or no sense of humor. You can't really compare Finding Nemo and Shark Tale because they are really different movies. There is no reason for Disney to sue Dreamworks (like some of you say they should) because even though Finding Nemo is copywrited Shark Tale is not copying Finding Nemo. Even though the story is about life under the sea doesn't mean that it is copying Finding Nemo. Shark Tale is a totally different story and has none of the same characters than Finding Nemo. This was a great movie!!

Smallville (2001–2017)

One of my favorite shows!

This is a really good show. The people who say this show is terrible don't know what they are talking about. It has good stories and good actors. And watching it because of Lana and Chloe is a good thing they are really cute(and hot). I think the show gets more exciting as it goes on. I own the first two seasons and the soundtrack. What is the season they will be on? If you know send me a message. I think Tom Welling plays a great Clark Kent. He can play a good evil Clark Kent(when he gets red Krytoknight). I know I spelled Krytoknight wrong but don't correct me. I love the music that is used for the show. I would give this show 4 out of 5 stars or on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 8 1/2-9

Monk (2002–2009)

A Fun, Funny, and Entertaining Show

I don't have cable but I was happy when the first season of Monk came on DVD. I always wanted to see that show because I heard good things about it. I finally got to see the show. I loved it. It was funny and entertaining. There was never a dull moment in any of the episodes. It held my interest. I have heard bad things about the second season but I will still watch it. For anybody who said murder isn't funny(like the last reviewer) it is not the murder that makes the show funny but Monk himself and the other characters help too. I can't wait to see what the writers will think of next. If you like detective mysteries and you like comedy then this show is for you. I can't wait for the second season to come out on dvd.

I, Robot (2004)

I loved this movie?

This movie was really good. I think this is one of the best science fiction films since Minority Report. The special effects were really good, the characters were good. The main robot had all the qualities of a good HUMAN character. It had real emotions, it had a good character development, you really felt like the robot was a live human being and you cared for it. The action scenes were incredible. The music was good. It was done by the same person who did the music for Scream. Will Smith was awesome and he had a good sense of humor. If you like movies that are about man vs. machine then you should like this movie. It was well worth my money and worth sitting through. See this film!

Taken (2002)

Amazing!! X-Files Meets Close Encounters Of The Third Kind

Taken is a very good mini series. It has a great story, good special effects and great acting. If you like the X-Files or Close Encounters Of The Third Kind then you will love this mini series. What makes Taken interesting is that it tells a story that expands about fourty or fifty years. Taken was taped in Vancouver, Canada which is about a couple of hours away from where I live. Taken doesn't feel like a mini series, it feels like ten movies. Which I think it was like that for the cast and crew of Taken. This mini series makes you even more interested in aliens and makes you want to ask the question, are we really alone in the universe and if we are not then what are the aliens doing. If we are not alone, are we in danger or do they just want to study us.

The Lion King 1½ (2004 Video)

Good Family Fun

This is a great movie. It is cute, funny and fun to watch. If you like Timon and Pumba you should watch this one. It even has the original voices of Adult Simba, Timon, Pumba, Rifki, The Three Main Hyenas from The Lion King. Timon's mom is voiced by the same person who voiced Marge, Patty, Selma, and Marge's mother from The Simpsons!

The Haunted Mansion (2003)

A Fun Family Film

This movie was a pretty good movie for what it was but it isn't my favorite movies but it is one of my favorite movies of the year 2003. This is a great family film but I wouldn't recommend it that smaller children(10 and under) see it because like the ride there are some scenes that would scare them. This movie is more for younger kids than Pirates was but adults would like it too. Eddie Murphy was great in his role, I would not have picked a better actor for that role. The special effects were amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if this movie at least got nominated for an academy award for visual effects. Terrance Stamp was excelent and so was the rest of the cast.

A Really Good Action Packed TV Show

This television show is amazing. I didn't start watching it until it came to DVD. I decided to try it out and rented it. I could not just watch one episode. I watched at least four a day! This show packs all the action you can get into an hour television show. A really clever, and enjoyable piece of entertainment.

Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)

The Bruce Campbell Movie To See!!

If you are a fan of Bruce Campbell you will love this movie. This is a movie about a Mummy vs. Elvis and JFK(A black man). It is a really funny movie with elements of horror in it. So you should see this one if you can get a chance.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds (2003 Video Game)

Cool!

This game is very cool. The only bad thing is that Sarah Michelle Geller is not the voice of Buffy. This game is really challenging. I am on level 6 or 7. I had to get help from a walkthough and my brother because it was hard. I am excited they made a Buffy game for PS2 because I have a PS2 and not an Xbox.

Stitch! The Movie (2003 Video)

Pure Family Fun

This movie is not really like a sequel. It is like a continuation of Lilo and Stitch. It is better than some of Disney's other "sequels". I don't know if parents will like it but kids will really like it. I'm 20 and I liked it. I don't know how the TV series will be like but it seems to be like a continuation to Stitch! The Movie. See this movie and see the preview of the tv series(on the DVD) and see what you think. If I could give a star rating I would give it 3 out of 4 stars.

Agent Cody Banks (2003)

James Bond As A Teenager

If you like James Bond you will like this movie. This movie is as I said like James Bond but as a teenager. This movie has the right dose of action and humor. It has good actors and if you noticed, the bad guys henchmen is placed by "The Mummy aka Imotep" from The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I think it is a good family James Bond movie. This movie was very good.

A Clever Mystery

First To Die is one of the best James Patterson movie out of Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider. It is based on his latest best seller. It has good acting and a good plot with many twists. After I watched it I was thinking wow! this was a great movie. So if you have the chance to see it then you should and you will like it if you like mystery.
