Johnny has the ability to take overconfidence and drive it into the ground. Roland knows this but his hesitation only makes it happen. Every year they have the Mayor's roast-a-thon and Johnny thinks he will be amazing. The other plot line is that Ted has won an opportunity to go on a research fellowship to the Galapagos. Of course, he can't come right out an present it to Alexis and she begins to run everything. But Twyla manages to say what she thinks without saying it. Sparks ahead.

David is asked again to distract his mother so Patrick and Stevie can practice Cabaret with their dance instructor.
Moira insists on checking out something and sees the duo performing. They perform with lots of energy.
Alexis goes to Ted's where he has made brunch. Ted asks her about going to the Galapagos Islands with him for his Charles Darwin research trip. She doesn't want to go to that place.
Johnny goes to a home with the mayor's group for a roast off. They hilariously roast one another - Roland doesn't last long in the bedroom, Bob isn't getting any based on what they know about Gwen.
Alexis tells Ted she will go - he has given up so much for her and now it is time for her to do the same.
