[7.4] Determination

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 7: Again, a better episode than the previous one, all thanks to the very good flashbacks and some good acting also in the past (especially, young Andy). It's still ruined though by almost everything that happens in present time.

Just bad

I have watched the entire series of this enormous steaming pile of dogs***, hoping with each episode that it was going to get better. No such luck. Even Toni Collette, who I usually like, fails to save this crap. The script has some merit for originality, but overall it totally sucks. Flashbacks don't help at all, they only interrupt the series. A couple of the actors and actresses seemed to be just going through the motions, trying to deliver their best. Sometimes they succeed for a moment, but then they are only following the script. Overall, I only stayed on until the end out of boredom. Sadly, I cannot recommend this to anyone. The best performance to me is the little girl whose blank stare is mesmerizing and reminiscent of some children I have encounter in the past but none have been afraid of me. To the contrary, nearly all children are fascinated by me, but in order not to offend or cause them concern I always either just smile at the child and walk away, or ask the parent if it's OK to say hello.

No way the kid keeps quiet

Warning: Spoilers
Sorry, but when little Andy sees young Nick in the woods, there's no way in hell she wouldn't answer when Clara and Eli were calling her name. Even if her solitary upbringing didn't warrant being warned about 'stranger danger' this doesn't ring true. And when grown Andy wakes up in the cabin, why is she so calm? She was just in a severe car accident in the middle of nowhere yet she wakes up in a house knowing nothing (as far as we know) about how she got there? Not worried about Charlie? Even after she figured out where she was, her relaxed attitude was unbelievable. She should have been either scared or concerned.

Same as others, I won't recommend this to anyone but I need to know if the ending is as dumb as the rest of it.
