Six cities: Breda, 's Hertogenbosch, Ghent, Mechelen, Chester and Limerick work together in a European context. They bring their history to life through the restoration of old watercourses at historic locations. After many years of defeat, the importance of water for inner cities is now recognized: it enlivens the cityscape, is attractive for tourists, increases the quality of living / working and adds value to the ecological field. In the documentary REFLECTIONS we go with Wik in the six cities. He experiences everything around the water. On his wanderings in the cities and along the water he meets residents, users, project managers and all kinds of others who have something with water. The WIHCC project has won the European Regional Cultural Champion Award for a European cooperation project to promote the cultural heritage of the cities to a wide audience.
