This is the first review I've written of an individual episode of Bill Maher's show. I'm writing this after wondering how he would react to Hurricane Michael. It's affected me, you know. Turns out his panel never talked about it nor did he make a new rule about it. He did criticize people for poorly reacting to it. The big topic tonight was the upcoming midterm elections.
I liked his big new rule at the end about the Democrats hiring a celebrity and making fun of The Rock. I knew that he starred in everything nowadays. I didn't know any of the panelists featured tonight. They mention someone apologizing for quoting Winston Churchill. Given the massive amount of bad things we've discovered about practically everyone, it's an interesting topic. I couldn't tell if there was a reference to Bill Maher's comments about 911 or his usage of the n-word. ***1/2
