I could stomach about 2 min of this cliched drivel. Perhaps there will soon become a time when female writers will have a chance to write about their own experiences. In the meantime, we are still stuck with men creating a bunch of female caricatures - their idea of what it means to be a woman #fail

This movie is sick and disturbing

This is a sick and disturbing movie on so many levels. The mother, who is recently divorced (the husband cheated), meets a young man and sleeps with him. The same man later sleeps with and is now involved with her daughter. The daughter introduces the man at Christmas, and the mother and man try to keep this a secret at first but they all find out about each other at the table. The father (ex husband) punches the man. The daughter is pregnant with the man's child and surprise she's engaged too. The other women support all of this. One of the mother's friends is crast and is overtly sexual throughout the movie. She has no boundaries and even makes sexual suggestions towards one of the friends sons who is probably half her age. This movie shows women with little to no standards, and makes black women seem desperate. This is in horrible taste. It seems as though a man wrote this. Really sucks we have such low standards.

This was pretty terrible...

We were searching for a black led Holiday movie, in theory that's what this is - but in practice this is just a really bad wanna be drama with a terrible plot line.

For starters, the introduction has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. It starts out with a cartoon Santa a la Friday, and ends with an awkward beach wedding in partial African garb and the groom is dressed in a confederate era tux. The plot itself is nonsensical, with the mother having a one night stand with a guy in July, who then shows up engaged to her daughter (who is pregnant) by Christmas. If this were a comedy, we would've enjoyed it more. You literally do not need to change a word of the script to turn it into a comedy. It's just really, really bad.

If you're looking for a movie to turn into a drinking game - this is it! Otherwise, it gonna be a NO for me, dawg. Save yourself the time.

(Although we may recommend this movie to people like The Ring and then laugh when they call us to complain.)

I love this film!!!!

This film was awesome! It was a feel good film and I will watch it every Christmas and add it to my favorites! I always enjoy Greg Carter's work! Great and funny movie!!!
