Here's a series of photographs that Eadward Muybridge, he of the gigantic beard, oddly spelled name, and best remembered as the guy who settled a bet of whether horses lift all four feet from the ground while galloping by taking pictures. Like that better known series of shots, Muybridge shot several series of pictures on the theme of who animals -- including men -- move. He toured with them, and later someone put them together to make very brief movies.
